    摘要: A wall mounted electric room heater includes a wall box adapted to be secured between a pair of wall studs and having an open front and side walls extending from a back wall. A heater/blower assembly carried by a frame is disposed in the box and includes and electric resistance heating element mounted in a venturi having an inlet spaced from the back wall and an outlet communicating with the open front. A fan is mounted within the venturi for drawing air from the room through the open front into the wall box outside the venturi to the venturi inlet for flow through the venturi over the heating element to be heated and discharge from the venturi outlet and through the open front into the room. An air straightener as installed on the venturi downstream of the fan for causing the heated air to discharge from the venturi outlet in substantially axial direction to prevent the heated air from being entrained with the room air being drawn into the wall box by the fan. A louvered grill overlies the open front of the box and the air straightener. A partition carried by the frame cooperates with the back and side walls of the box to define a wiring compartment.

    摘要: A heating convection unit and a method of mounting the same, provided with an envelope having a front face, a rear face, a top, a bottom and peripheral side walls. The front face and the peripheral side walls define an inner enclosure. The unit is also provided with a medial shield having front face, a rear face, a top, a bottom and peripheral side walls. The medial shield is mounted within the inner enclosure defined by the envelope and spaced apart therefrom. The rear face and peripheral side walls of the medial shield and the front face and peripheral side walls of the envelope define a ventilation passage having top and bottom openings in communication with ambient air. The medial shield preferably has an intermediate opening communicating with the ventilation passage. The unit is also provided with a cover having a front face, a rear face, a top and a bottom. The cover is fixed over the medial shield. The cover has top and bottom openings in communication with the ambient air. The top and bottom openings of the cover communicate with the top and bottom openings of the ventilation passage. The rear face of the cover and the front face of the medial shield define a convection passage between the top and bottom openings of the cover. The unit also has a heating element located inside the convection passage for heating the ambient air. The heating element is located proximate to the bottom opening of the cover. The intermediate opening of the medial shield is located above of the heating element.

    摘要: A kit is disclosed which is installable in a wiring junction box so as to adapt the box to receive high and low voltage wiring from high and low voltage sources and high and low voltage wiring from an appliance, and to permit the connection of the high and low voltage connections within the box being physically separated from one another. The kit comprises a partition installable within the box so as to divide the interior of the box into a high voltage compartment and a low voltage compartment. A cover is provided for closing the open front face of the box, this cover including a first cover plate securable to the box to overlie only a portion of the box bottom. The cover assembly further includes a second cover plate removably installable on the box after the wiring connections have been made within the box thereby to permit inspection of the wiring connections without disturbing the wiring within the box.

    摘要: An electric convection space heater for placement adjacent to a wall includes a plurality of elongated electric heating elements positioned in an elongated housing having a front panel having an elongated cold air inlet, a back panel for placement adjacent to a wall and a top portion with a plurality of elongated heated air outlet slots. The heating elements are arranged to extend longitudinally in the housing below the outlet slots with the heating elements horizontally disposed in spaced apart stair-step configuration with each heating element being located at progressively lower elevations from the front panel to the rear panel. The outlet slots occupy a front to back dimension on the housing top portion which exceeds the distance between the front and back elements. The heated air rising above each element induces the heated air rising above the immediately rearward element to flow outwardly through the slots in a direction away from the wall thus counteracting the normal wall hugging effect of the heated air and preventing wall streaking and damage to wall coverings.
