    摘要: An inflatable bedrest which is composed of a bladder which when inflated defines three longitudinally extending side walls disposed in a triangular configuration. To support the bladder in the desired triangular configuration, there is provided an interior baffle mounted within the bladder which in one embodiment comprises a pair of longitudinally extending panels disposed in a V-shaped arrangement and joined to the side walls. In another embodiment, one or more transverse panels form the baffle, either alone or in conjunction with the V-shaped panels. The bedrest may be used to form an assembly which may be assembled to the head end portion of a bed mattress and serves to adjustably lift the head end portion.

    摘要: There is provided a bedrest including an inflatable bladder, a compressor assembly and a microprocessor based controller for inflating and deflating the bladder. The compressor assembly has several stages reducing the volume of air. The compressor assembly includes a housing having an air intake, a motor and a centrifugal blower for passing air into a valve assembly. When inflating, the air passes under pressure through the centrifugal blower, past the motor and through a check valve into the valve assembly and through air outlet that is connected to an air supply tube. In a preferred embodiment, the valve assembly is equipped with a solenoid relief valve for use when deflating the bladder. The microprocessor based controller enables an individual to inflate or deflate the bladder to any desired amount with a simple control. In addition, the hand controlled microprocessor permits computer programming so that the mattress can be automatically raised and lowered to different levels during different periods of time. An additional feature is that one does not need to simply continue to hold the switch down in order to raise or lower the bladder portion but instead can press a simple button after the entire hand controlled microprocessor has been preprogrammed so that any one of a number of different adjustments can be made and these can be made at any given time and preset to any given time and interval.

    摘要: There is provided a bedrest including an inflatable bladder, which is in general a triangular shaped structure when inflated and a microprocessor based hand controller for inflating and deflating the bladder. The bladder contains an interior baffle which extend for primarily the length of the bladder fixed to interior walls of the bladder to form an inverse triangle inverse to the triangle formation of the bladder when inflated. The interior baffle therefore enables the structure to form more precisely into the desired triangular shape in order to perform a more effective position when inserted under the mattress in the head location of the bed.     摘要: A cuff apparatus, comprising a cushioning device, is adapted to be releasably wrapped around a body part of an individual in order to massage the body part. The cuff has two ends which include cooperating hook and loop fasteners. The cushioning device has first and second air support structures, where each support structure has alternating offset air glands. One of the two support structures has alternating apertures, wherein the alternating air glands of one of the two support structures are respectively inserted into the alternating offset apertures to form a matrix surface arrangement of the cushioning device. The air cushioning device creates a massaging effect by rapidly inflating the air glands of one of the two support structures while rapidly deflating the air glands of the other one of the two support structures, thereby creating a massaging effect. The air cushioning device further has a magnetic vibratory member for generating vibrations to and through a transmitting member which in turn creates resonance vibrations to the cushioning device and the body part positioned on the cushioning device.

    摘要: An air spring bedding system includes a mattress matrix assembly and a box spring assembly. The mattress matrix assembly comprises first and second air support structures. Each support structure has alternating offset air springs and connecting tubes which interconnect to two adjacent alternating offset air springs for distributing air between them. One of the two support structures also has alternating offset apertures. A respective one of the alternating air springs of the second support structure are respectively aligned with and inserted into a respective one of the alternating offset apertures of the first support structure such that the two support structures abut against each other to form the mattress matrix assembly. The alternating air springs of the two support structures are arranged in a matrix arrangement. The box spring assembly includes upper and lower support structures. Each support structure has a plenum and hollow cylinders which are arranged in a matrix arrangement. The hollow cylinders of the upper and lower support structures are offset from one another. The hollow cylinders of the upper support structure are respectively inserted in-between the hollow cylinders of the lower support structure such that the hollow cylinders of the upper and lower support structures are located adjacent to one another, and thereby form the box spring assembly.
