Abstract:
A device for applying stain formulation to a garment or article of clothing while it is being worn is disclosed. The device includes a reservoir with a valve assembly for dispensing an effective stain removal formulation directly to the stain, spot or mark. The device also includes a shell accommodating absorbent pads. After the stain removal formulation is applied, an absorbent pad is pressed and/or rubbed on the stain to lift and remove the stain and to absorb or wick excess fluid thereby reducing the amount of time the resulting wet spot takes to dry. Effective stain removing formulations for on-the-go use are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A device for applying a functional formulation to a surface is disclosed. The device includes a reservoir with a valve assembly for dispensing an effective stain removal formulation directly to the stain, spot or mark. The device also includes a shell accommodating absorbent pads. In use, the functional formulation is delivered through the applicator tip to the surface. The applicator is then rotated and one of the absorbent pads is engaged with the formulation treated surface to dislodge soils and stains on the surface, distribute the functional formulation on the surface, absorb excess formulation from the surface, and/or to lessen visibility of the resulting moistened area as well as reduce the time needed for the moistened area to dry. Suitable functional formulations for use in association with the applicator are also disclosed.

A device for applying stain treatment formulation to a garment or article of clothing while it is being worn is disclosed. The device includes a reservoir with an applicator tip for containing the formulation and dispensing the formulation to a stain, spot or mark on the garment. The device also includes a shell connected to the reservoir for housing an absorbent member dispensing mechanism. After the stain removal formulation is applied, the absorbent member is pressed and/or rubbed on the stain to lift and remove the stain and to absorb or wick excess formulation thereby reducing the time needed for the resulting wet spot to dry. Effective stain removing formulations for on-the-go use are also provided.
Abstract:
A stable, enzyme-containing aqueous laundry prespotting composition. The composition includes at least one detergent enzyme in an amount effective to reduce fabric stains; an enzyme stabilizing system effective to preserve the detergent enzyme for at least 12 weeks at at least 90.degree. F. in an amount effective to reduce fabric stains, the enzyme stabilizing system including at least one chelating agent and at least one nonionic surfactant, with no additional enzyme stabilizer; and an aqueous carrier.
Abstract:
An eco-friendly liquid composition for pretreatment of fabrics is disclosed. The composition may include one or more nonionic surfactants, water, and optional ingredients such as a small amount of anionic surfactant, protease enzyme, borax, pH adjusting agent, fragrance, and preservative. The one or more nonionic surfactants may include alkyl polyglycoside. If nonionic surfactants other than the alkyl polyglycoside are included, at least 60% of the total nonionic surfactant in the composition is alkyl polyglycoside. The composition may have a Natural Index of at least 98% as defined herein. The composition may be essentially free of any propellant and bleach component.
