摘要: A technique is provided for improving digital images by analysis of the sampling rate of the image data. The optimal sampling rate is determined, such as based on the point-spread function of the imaging system, and is compared to the actual pixel sampling rate. Based upon the comparison, the image may be shrunk or sub-sampled to provide the optimal sampling rate that allows for optimal image filtering while accounting for inherent variations in spatial resolution of the images.

摘要: A liquid pump includes an electronically controlled throttle inlet valve to control pump output. With each reciprocation cycle, a plunger displaces a fixed volume of fluid. When less than this fixed volume is desired as the output from the pump, the electronically controlled throttle inlet valve throttles flow past a passive inlet check valve to reduce output. As a consequence, cavitation bubbles are generated during the intake stroke. Cavitation damage to surfaces that define the inlet port passage are avoided by a specifically shaped and sized cavitation flow adjuster extending from the valve member of the passive inlet check valve. By positioning the cavitation flow adjuster in the inlet port passage, a flow pattern is formed in a way to encourage cavitation bubble collapse away from surfaces that could result in unacceptable cavitation damage to the pump.

摘要: A method of controlling a fuel injector assembly of an internal combustion engine includes the stop of generating a first injection pulse with an engine control module. The method also includes the step of injecting fuel into a cylinder of the engine in response to generation of the first injection pulse. The method further includes the step of detecting when fuel is injected into the cylinder and generating a control signal in response thereto. Moreover, the method includes the step of determining a time period between generation of the first injection pulse and generation of the control signal. The method also includes the step of adjusting initiation of a second injection pulse based on the time period. An apparatus for controlling a fuel injector assembly of an internal combustion engine is also disclosed.
