摘要： A honeycomb body for an exhaust-gas purification system may be used, for example, as a carrier body for catalytically acting coatings or as a filter, absorber or mixer in the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine. The honeycomb body has channels, an axial main direction, a planar front surface, a planar end surface and a circumferential surface disposed parallel to the axial main direction. The front surface and/or the end surface are disposed obliquely with respect to the axial main direction. Such a honeycomb body is advantageous, in particular, for applying reducing agent to the oblique end or front surface. A method for producing a honeycomb body, an exhaust line section and a motor vehicle are also provided.

摘要： A method for regenerating an open particle separator includes at least determining at least one parameter, as a characteristic variable of a regeneration capability of the open particle separator. The at least one parameter is compared with a first threshold value. At least one portion of a comparison period during which the parameter has reached the first threshold value is determined. The portion is compared with a first minimum portion corresponding to a minimum regeneration time in the comparison time period. Measures are initiated to influence the parameter so that the parameter lies at least according to the first minimum portion and the first threshold value is reached and/or the open particle separator is regenerated. A motor vehicle having at least one open particle separator is also provided.

At least a proportion of the particles are held or swirled around in the collecting element until there is a sufficient probability of reaction with nitrogen dioxide and a majority of the collected particles have been removed. A collecting element has flow channels through which the exhaust gas can pass freely. However, the flow channels are configured in such a way as to form deflections or zones of swirl and calming or stabilization. A system having the collecting element is also provided.

摘要： A foil for producing a metal honeycomb or catalyst carrier body, has an average surface roughness of more than 0.3 μm (micrometers) on both surfaces in at least one measurement direction. Preferably, the foil is rolled and has an average surface roughness of more than 0.3 or 0.5 μm, especially approximately 0.6 μm, in the rolling direction and/or transverse thereto. The foil can have an oxide coating with a thickness between 60 and 80 or between 70 and 75 nm (nanometers) on both surfaces. Despite the roughness, an even thickness of the oxide coating with a tolerance of less than 10% or 5% is advantageous on both surfaces. The foil allows production of durable honeycomb bodies, especially for exhaust systems of internal combustion engines, requiring an exactly defined distribution and quality of compounds in the interior thereof. A honeycomb body and method of production using a foil, are also provided.
