摘要： A communication method employed in a wireless communication system including a first communication device and a second communication device is provided. The communication method includes: setting up a connection between the first and second communication devices; after the connection is set up, checking if both the first and second communication devices provide a symbol mapping function for converting a first modulation/demodulation to a second modulation/demodulation different from the first modulation/demodulation; and when both the first and second communication devices provide the symbol mapping function, using the second modulation/demodulation to replace the first modulation/demodulation so that each of the first and second communication devices communicates with each other by using the second modulation/demodulation.

摘要： An image processing apparatus and method are provided. The apparatus comprises an image input device, an external memory, and an encoder. The image input device captures pictures, and the external memory stores the captured pictures. The encoder further comprises a moving picture compression unit, a still picture compression unit, and a recording unit. The moving picture compression unit and the still picture compression unit share the external memory and work simultaneously when at least one of the captured pictures is to be stored in both video and still image format. The recording unit records the compressed pictures.

摘要： An embodiment of an apparatus for channel assessment is provided, comprising a radio frequency (RF) unit, a baseband unit and a microprocessor control unit (MCU). The baseband unit coupling to the RF unit directs the RF unit to selectively hop into one of a plurality of available channels in a frequency band using a pseudorandom sequence to receive a plurality of packets via the hopped channel. The MCU coupling to the baseband unit accumulates a measure for the hopped channel according to reception results of the packets and marks the hopped channel as a bad channel when the accumulated measure exceeds a predetermined threshold. The measure represents the inaccuracy extent during packet reception via the hopped channel.

The method comprises deriving a differential phase signal indicating differential phases of a first set of the access code in the communication signal, and comparing the differential phase signal with an ideal differential phase signal to calculate a frequency offset value, compensating the differential phase signal by the frequency offset value to generate a compensated differential phase signal, and detecting a burst packet transmitted via the communication signal according to the compensated differential phase signal.
