Abstract:
A securing apparatus for a tool, especially a grinding wheel, including a rotatably driven spindle and a hydraulically expandable securing member, which is provided for securing the tool on the spindle and is provided with at least one hydraulic medium chamber. The securing member is a securing sleeve that is provided on the spindle, with the at least one hydraulic medium chamber communicating with a first bore that extends through the spindle and is provided for supplying the hydraulic medium. The spindle is provided with a tightening screw that can selectively close off the first bore and can be backed off into a pressure relief position. At least one axial securing element is disposed on the securing apparatus in such a way as to be axially displaceable and is adapted to be positively connected with the tool in the axial direction.

Abstract:
A laundry finishing treatment article for use in a mechanical laundry drier to treat fabrics with a substance of the laundry finishing type and a laundry odorant, the article comprising a hollow bag of two-layer composite sheeting having a pillowlike form closed on all sides, the external layer of said two-layer composite sheeting being an open-celled absorbent layer containing an amount effective to treat said fabrics of the substance, which substance is substantially solid at room temperature and softened or liquefied at elevated drier temperatures to enable a transfer of the substance to the laundry during the drying thereof, and the internal layer of the two-layer composite sheeting being a plastic film substantially gas-impermeable at room temperature and gas-permeable to the odorant at elevated drier temperatures, the film enclosing an effective amount of the odorant; as well as the process for after-treating laundry in a drier in which the above laundry finishing treatment article is introduced into a drier together with moist laundry and allowed to act on the laundry during the drying process.
Abstract:
A storage-stable, readily-soluble detergent additive comprising particles, at least 70% of which have a diameter within the range of 0.1 mm to 1 mm consisting of from 1% to 75% by weight of at least one active material enhancing the washing, bleaching or biocidal effects of a detergent, substantially surrounded by and embedded in from 25% to 99% by weight of an enveloping material consisting of a mixture ofA. from 20% to 90% by weight of said mixture of at least one compound having a melting point above 30.degree.C, selected from the group consisting of fatty acids and fatty alcohols,B. from 0 to 50% by weight of said mixture of at least one water-soluble compound selected from the group consisting of poly-oxy-lower alkylene glycols, non-ionic surface-active compounds and anionic surface-active compounds, andC. from 1% to 40% by weight of said mixture of at least one water-insoluble but water-swellable compound selected from the group consisting of salts of acrylic acid copolymers and methacrylic acid copolymers. The invention also relates to the method of producing the particles and the enveloping material. The particles are obtained by spraying a fluid mixture of the components through a nozzle or by a spray disc, and cooling. The stabilized particles of active materials can be incorporated with percompounds and other washing composition components.
Abstract:
A power supply includes a supply inductor and a first capacitor coupled to form a resonant circuit to generate a resonant waveform in a resonant operation, during a first portion of an operation cycle of the power supply. A charge storage element develops an output voltage to energize a load. A rectifier is coupled to the charge storage element and to the resonant circuit and is responsive to the resonant waveform for applying the output voltage back to the resonant circuit to interrupt the resonant operation, at an end time of the operation cycle first portion, when the resonant waveform produces a first change of state in the rectifier. A first sensor senses when the first change of state in the rectifier occurs. A source of a supply current is coupled to the rectifier and rectified in the rectifier to produce a rectified current that is coupled to the charge storage element to replenish a charge therein, during a second portion of the operation cycle. A switching transistor is responsive to an output signal of the first sensor for enabling the supply current to be coupled to the rectifier, during the operation cycle second portion, and for disabling the supply current from being coupled to the rectifier, during the operation cycle first portion.
Abstract:
A power supply comprises a pair of first and second capacitors forming a capacitive voltage divider. A source of a periodic input supply voltage is coupled to the capacitive voltage divider for producing in the second capacitor, from a portion of the periodic input supply voltage, a second supply voltage that is coupled to a load circuit. A switch is coupled to the second capacitor for selectively coupling the first capacitor to the second capacitor in a manner to regulate the second supply voltage.
