    摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed to display compass-type indicia relative to a three dimensional computer generated image of a building or a region. Such images, presented on multi-dimensional computer driven display devices have associated therewith directional indicating indicia, such as a compass-like image, which seamlessly provide visual and spatial directional information to a viewer even as the images are being rotated or enlarged, such as by zooming into a specific space of the building or region.

The graphically displayed metaphors comprise “drawers”, “wireframe”, “expansion/compression”, “projected floor”, “sliding unselected floors”, “turning the pages”, “big map-small map”, and “fisheye” graphical configurations. Such graphically displayed metaphors can be utilized to highlight a selected floor, separate it from adjacent floors, and provide a graphical effect of depicting the floor's vertical position within a building.

    摘要： A method of controlling a cursor displayed on a display device is provided. A three-dimensional environment is displayed on a display device. A cursor and a plurality of objects are displayed on the display device within the three-dimensional environment. The cursor comprises a zone defining a volume to identify at least one object that is at least partially located within the volume. The size of the volumetric activation zone is dynamically adjusted so that a predetermined constraint is satisfied. The predetermined constraint is a function of at least a relationship between the volumetric activation zone of the cursor and at least one of the plurality of objects.

    摘要： A computer system is described for dynamically adapting the size of touch sensitive areas or “buttons” on touch screens in response to the motor skill level of the user. Data from sensors arrayed around a touch screen send small changes in the user's hand position, and pass this data to a filter which separates the component of the motion due to hand tremor from the intentional motion component. The information about the extent of the hand tremor can be used to either dynamically increase the size of a button as the user's hand is in motion, or to retrieve and display a fixed screen layout with appropriately large buttons.
