Abstract: Disclosed are cleaning apparatuses, semiconductor fabrication systems, and semiconductor fabrication methods. The cleaning apparatus comprises a housing that provides an inner space and a cleaning unit combined with the housing. The housing includes a slit that is upwardly recessed from a bottom surface of the housing and is connected to the inner space and a plurality of placement holes that upwardly extend from the bottom surface of the housing. The cleaning unit includes an intake device in the inner space and an intake pipe one end of which is connected to the intake device and another end of which is connected to the slit.

Abstract: A pixel array including pixels arranged in a matrix shape is provided. The pixels have a same structure and are separated from each other by front deep trench isolation (FDTI). A first pixel among the pixels includes a first floating diffusion region, a first group of photoelectric conversion elements, a first group of charge transfer transistors, a first source follower transistor, and a first transistor, a second transistor, and a first reset transistor connected in series between the first floating diffusion region and a voltage supply line. One of the first transistor, the second transistor, and the first reset transistor is formed in a first sub-pixel region. At least another one of the first transistor, the second transistor, and the first reset transistor is formed in a second sub-pixel region. The first sub-pixel region and the second sub-pixel region are separated from each other by the FDTI.

Abstract: A pixel group of an image sensor includes first through fourth unit pixels in a matrix form of two pixels rows and two pixel columns, and a common floating diffusion region in a semiconductor substrate at a center of the pixel group and shared by the first through fourth unit pixels. Each of the first through fourth unit pixels includes a photoelectric conversion element in the semiconductor substrate, and a pair of vertical transfer gates in the semiconductor substrate and extending in a vertical direction perpendicular to a surface of the semiconductor substrate. The pair of vertical transfer gates transfer photo charges collected by the photoelectric conversion element to the common floating diffusion region. Image quality is enhanced by increasing sensing sensitivity of the unit pixel through the shared structure of the floating diffusion region and the symmetric structure of the vertical transfer gates.
