摘要: A discharge lamp drive device includes a discharge lamp driver adapted to supply a drive current to a discharge lamp having a first electrode and a second electrode, a control section adapted to control the discharge lamp driver, and a storage section adapted to store a plurality of drive patterns of the drive current. The control section is configured to select one drive pattern of the plurality of drive patterns based on machine learning, and execute the selected drive pattern. In a case in which a predetermined condition is fulfilled, the control section executes a predetermined drive pattern of the plurality of drive patterns without selecting and executing the drive pattern based on the machine learning.

摘要: In a discharge lamp driving device, a mixed period is provided, in which a first period in which an alternating current is supplied and a second period in which a direct current is supplied are alternately repeated and a third period alternately including a first direct current period and a second direct current period in which a direct current having a polarity opposite to a polarity of the direct current in the first direct current period is supplied. Length of the second direct current period is smaller than 0.5 ms. A total of lengths of the first direct current periods in the third period is larger than length of the second period. The third period is not provided at least when the inter-electrode voltage is smaller than a first predetermined value or when a cumulative lighting time of the discharge lamp is smaller than a second predetermined value.

摘要: A discharge lamp driver includes a discharge lamp drive unit, a control unit, and a voltage detection part. When an inter-electrode voltage is smaller than a first predetermined value, the control unit controls the discharge lamp drive unit to provide a mixed period in which a first period and a second period are alternately repeated and a third period alternately including a first direct-current period and a second direct-current period. A length of the first direct-current period is larger than a length of the second direct-current period. The length of the second direct-current period is smaller than 0.5 ms. A total of the lengths of the first direct-current periods in the third period is larger than a length of the second period. When the inter-electrode voltage is smaller than the first predetermined value, the control unit is configured to increase the length of the third period in a stepwise manner.

The control section controls the discharge lamp driving section such that a mixed period is provided in which a first period in which an alternating current having a first frequency is supplied to the discharge lamp and a second period in which a direct current is supplied to the discharge lamp are alternately repeated. The first frequency includes a plurality of frequencies different from one another. The control section temporally changes the length of the first period.

摘要: According to an aspect of the invention, a discharge lamp driving device includes a discharge lamp driving section, a control section, and a voltage detecting section. The control section is configured to execute a first discharge lamp driving for executing a first control and a second control for supplying a driving current including a direct current and an alternating current to a discharge lamp. In the first discharge lamp driving, the control section executes the first control when the interelectrode voltage is equal to or smaller than a first threshold voltage at predetermined setting timing and executes the second control when the interelectrode voltage is larger than the first threshold voltage at the predetermined setting timing. A rate of the direct current in the second control is larger than a rate of the direct current in the first control.
