    Abstract: A semiconductor device comprises driver circuitry, an analog-digital (AD) converter, and processing circuitry. The driver circuitry is configured to supply a drive signal to a sensor array in a sensing frame comprising 2N bursts, N being an integer of two or more. The mixer circuitry is configured to modulate a plurality of carrier waves with a plurality of sensing signals corresponding to capacitances of a plurality of sensing electrodes of the sensor array, respectively, to output a plurality of mixer outputs. A number of the plurality of sensing electrodes is 2N−1 or 2N. The AD converter is configured to perform AD conversion on a sum signal of the plurality of mixer outputs. The processing circuitry is configured to detect an object based on the output of the AD converter.

    Abstract: A capacitive sensing device has a first plurality of sensor electrodes, and a second plurality of sensor electrodes overlapping the first plurality of sensor electrodes. A first sensor electrode of the second plurality of electrodes overlaps a first subset of the first plurality of electrodes and comprises apertures disposed according to first codes. The first codes comprise first and second coefficients and along one of the first plurality of sensor electrodes. Each aperture may correspond to one of the first coefficients. The capacitive sensing device further comprises a processing system coupled to the first and second plurality of sensor electrodes. The processing system may be configured to receive resulting signals with the second plurality of sensor electrodes to determine positional information for an input object within a sensing region of the capacitive sensing device.

    Abstract: A method of performing a scan of a sensor array is disclosed, as well as an associated processing system and input device. The sensor array comprises a plurality of sensor electrodes in a single layer. A plurality of routing traces is arranged in the single layer. The method comprises, for each sensor electrode of the plurality of sensor electrodes, acquiring, during a first period, an absolute capacitive measurement for the sensor electrode. The method further comprises, for each bordering sensor electrode of one or more bordering sensor electrodes of the plurality of sensor electrodes, acquiring, during a second period, a transcapacitive measurement between the sensor electrode and the bordering sensor electrode.

    Abstract: A force sensing device includes a first force sensor and a second force sensor. The first force sensor is configured to output a first force resulting signal and includes a first strain gauge coupled to a first voltage source and a first trace. The first force sensor further includes a second strain gauge coupled to a second voltage source and the first trace.     Abstract: A sensing device comprises sensor electrodes arranged in an array of rows and columns, and vias. A first vias is arranged in a first direction, and corresponds to a first column of sensor electrodes adjacent to a first side edge of the sensing device. A second via is arranged in a second direction different than the first direction, and corresponds to a second column of the sensor electrodes adjacent to a second side edge of the sensing device. Each of the sensor electrodes is configured to be coupled to a routing trace through one of the vias. In a first row of the plurality of sensor electrodes, a two vias are different distances from the first side edge and in a second row of the plurality of sensor electrodes, two vias are different distances from the second side edge.
