    Abstract: A display system includes a source device that outputs image-data and a sink device that performs a displaying operation based on the image-data. The sink device changes a frame-rate of a panel driving frame as the source device changes a frame-rate of an image frame. The sink device sets a first clock cycle starting point at which a first clock cycle of an emission on-off clock starts as a scan starting point of the panel driving frame when the first clock cycle starting point is consistent with an input starting point of image frame data. The sink device moves the input starting point to a second clock cycle starting point, at which a second clock cycle following the first clock cycle starts, and sets the second clock cycle starting point as the scan starting point when the first clock cycle starting point is inconsistent with the input starting point.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display system including a signal processing device uses interpolation to generate an intermediate image frame using previous image frame data and present image frame data. The system converts data of the intermediate image frame into transposed image data that is to be used to drive a liquid crystal display panel and display a corresponding image. The transposed image data and the present image data are subjected to a prespecified DCC process (dynamic capacitance compensation process) to thereby generate respective first and second compensation image data. Since the first compensation image data is generated based on the transposed image data and the transposition is configured to prevent over-compensation by the DCC process, over-compensation by the dynamic capacitance compensation process can be reduced or prevented.

    Abstract: A timing controller, OLED display having the same and method of for driving the display are disclosed. The timing controller includes a failure mode determiner that can receive an input signal and determine whether the OLED display is in a failure mode based on the input signal. The timing controller also includes a failure mode generator configured to store a fail signal, output the fail signal in the failure mode, and selectively output a multiplexed signal including one of the input signal or the fail signal based on whether the OLED display is in the failure mode. The timing controller further includes a failure mode controller configured to receive the multiplexed signal from the failure mode generator, store the multiplexed signal, and selectively output the multiplexed signal of a current frame or the multiplexed signal of a previous frame based on whether the OLED display is in the failure mode.
