The display element includes a structure having a cylindrical shape and including a void inside, and at least two display regions formed on a side face of the structure and colored with different colors. The use of the display element for electronic paper can improve a response rate while lowering driving voltage, and can improve a contrast ratio by increasing a packing fraction.

摘要： An electronic paper display device includes: a display-side electrode disposed at a display side and formed of a transparent material; a back electrode disposed to face the display-side electrode; a substrate provided as a single layer disposed between the display-side electrode and the back electrode and including a plurality of first and second micro cups which are arranged in a two-dimensionally close-packed manner such that one micro cup is surrounded by different adjacent micro cups; and a plurality of first and second optical anisotropic elements disposed in the first and second micro cups, respectively, and having an optical characteristic changing in response to an electromagnetic change and a different driving voltage to change the optical characteristic.

摘要： The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an electronic paper display device and an electronic paper display device manufactured therefrom.The manufacturing method of the electronic paper display device may include forming a first auxiliary first dielectric layer on a first substrate; disposing electronic balls on the first auxiliary first dielectric layer; forming a second auxiliary first dielectric layer that fixes the electronic balls by curing the first auxiliary first dielectric layer; forming an auxiliary second dielectric layer on the second auxiliary first dielectric layer including the electronic balls; forming first and second dielectric layers by curing the second auxiliary first dielectric layer and the auxiliary second dielectric layer; and bonding the first substrate including the second dielectric layer to a second substrate.

摘要： There is provided an electronic paper display device and a method of manufacturing the same. An electronic paper display device according to an aspect of the invention may include: first and second electrodes facing each other; an elastomer matrix provided between the first and second electrodes and having one or more protrusions spaced apart at predetermined intervals therebetween; and one or more rotary bodies having optical and electrical anisotropy and being disposed within each of the protrusions. An electronic paper display device according to an aspect of the invention includes rotary bodies being densely arranged with a small thickness, thereby improving a contrast ratio and requiring relatively low driving voltage. Furthermore, predetermined intervals within an elastomer matrix provide a space in which the elastomer matrix can be bent, thereby increasing flexibility.
