    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus which jets out a plurality of ink droplets at a predetermined cycle within a single drive period and such that the ink droplets are combined in the air to form a single ink droplet which is supplied to a recording sheet. A charge pulse generating circuit and a discharge pulse generating circuit which divide a drive period into a plurality of segments and output a pulse signal, having cycle Tp which is larger than the Helmholtz cycle Tc, in synchronism with an auxiliary print signal. A time constant adjusting circuit changes an output waveform of a constant current circuit with the pulse signal to increase the velocity of an ink droplet last jet out so that the velocity of the ink droplet allows the ink droplet to be combined, in the air, with an ink droplet previously jet out.

    摘要: An ink jet print head including a flow path forming member having pressure generating chambers, ink supply paths, and reservoirs, a nozzle plate for covering one side of the flow path forming member, the nozzle plate having nozzle openings communicated with the pressure generating chambers, a flexible wall member for varying the volumes of the pressure generating chambers, the flexible wall member covering the other side of the flow path forming member, and piezoelectric vibrating elements for elastically deforming the flexible wall member, the piezoelectric vibrating element being in contact with the flexible wall member. The flexible wall member includes low elasticity portions and high elasticity portions for transmitting expanding and contracting motions of the piezoelectric vibrating elements to the pressure generating chambers, one end of each high elasticity portion being extended to a region of the ink supply path.

    摘要: An ink jet type recording head driving circuit comprises: a capacitor which is connected through a first switching transistor and a charging time constant adjusting resistor to a power source, and grounded through a second switching transistor and a discharging time constant adjusting resistor; and a current buffer through which the terminal voltage of the capacitor is applied to a pressure generating member scanning switch circuit. In the circuit, a first pulse for contracting a pressure generating member forming the recording head is applied to the first switching transistor, and a second pulse for expanding the pressure generating member is applied to the second switching transistor, so that the pressure generating member is contracted at a rate set by the capacitor and the charging time constant adjusting resistor, to supply ink into the pressure chamber of the recording head, and then it is expanded at a rate set by the capacitor and the discharging time constant adjusting resistor.
