    摘要： Necessary information on an action, which is performed in the case where a reproducing position overtakes a recording position during follow-up reproduction, is provided for a user. An action the user desires can be automatically or readily carried out. A reproducible time is calculated during a reproducing action. If the reproducible time is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, a warning message is displayed for the user. When the reproducible time becomes equal to or smaller than the predetermined value and a breakpoint in a content comes within the reproducible time, reproduction is suspended at the breakpoint. When the reproducible time becomes equal to or smaller than the predetermined time, a picture is switched to a temporary-reproduction content.

A transmitter apparatus transmits both a program content including video information and ID information including information for determining whether the program content is a 2D program content or a 3D program content. A receiver apparatus comprises: a receiving unit for receiving both the program content including the video information and ID information including information for determining whether the program content is a 2D program content or a 3D program content; and an output unit for outputting the received program content in a 2D format or 3D format. In a case where a 3D program is received and the content thereof is then converted to a 2D format for output, the output unit outputs, in addition to the content of the program in the 2D format, information indicating that the program is a 3D program.
