摘要: When a receiver (200) receives a signal transmitted from a transmitter, an A/D converter (204) converts the signal into a digital signal having two or more levels by A/D conversion. A zero-level detector (207) converts the signal into a two-level digital signal of positive and negative levels. The converted signals are subjected to spectrum despreading by correlators (206, 208), respectively. Whichever signal has a higher intensity is selected by absolute value detectors (209, 210), a comparator (211), and a switch (212). A decoder (213) decodes the selected signal. In a receiving state where the zero-level detector (207) is selected, the transmitter transmits the transmission signal after the signal is converted into a two-level signal. In a receiving state where the A/D converter (204) is selected, the transmitter transmits the transmission signal after the signal is converted into a signal having two or more levels.

摘要: A communicating system is disclosed. The communicating system has a base station and a plurality of mobile stations that radio-communicate through an uplink channel and a downlink channel with frames each of which is composed of a plurality of time divided slots, each of the frames of the uplink channel and the downlink channel being transmitted in accordance with OFDM transmitting system. An OFDM sub carrier used in the OFDM transmitting system is divided in accordance with a predetermined diving method, each of the frames of the uplink channel or downlink channel being allocated to the divided portions of the OFDM sub carrier, a plurality of frames of the uplink channel or downlink channel being radio-communicated between one base station and a plurality of mobile stations.

摘要: A convenient method for nucleic acid analysis is provided, which enables 1000 or more types of nucleic acid to be analyzed collectively with high comprehensiveness and with a dynamic range of at least four digits. In particular, provided is a very effective analytical method especially for untranslated RNAs and microRNAs, of which the types of target nucleic acids is 10000 or lower. Nucleic acids can be analyzed conveniently and rapidly with high comprehensiveness and quantitative performance at single-molecule sensitivity and resolution by following the steps of: preparing a group of target nucleic acid fragments one molecule at a time and hybridizing the nucleic acid molecules, which have known base sequences and have been labeled with the fluorescence substances, with the group of the target nucleic acid fragments to detect the fluorescence substances labeling the hybridized nucleic acid molecules.

摘要: An apparatus includes a display that displays data; a memory that stores the data and a display condition for displaying the data; and a processor. The processor determines whether the display condition is satisfied in accordance with a change of status of the apparatus. The processor displays the data in response to determining that the display condition is satisfied. The processor obtains, via a network at a timing represented by information that is stored in association with the data, update information to update the at least one of the data and the display condition stored in the memory. The update information obtained via the network includes information indicative of a next update time. The processor obtains, based on the next update time, next update information via the network.
