摘要： Rotary electronic component of the invention has a contact board and an elastic contact. The contact board, including an annular contact having an arc-segmental portion split by a slit with a predetermined width and signaling contacts disposed at spaced positions and in electrical continuation with the arc-segmental portion, is fixed in a resin molding with the annular contact exposed on the top plane of the resin molding. The elastic contact slides on the contact board along the annular contact. In this rotary electronic component, a stress occurring when the annular contact is fixed by molding on to the contact board is relaxed owing to presence of the slit. Thus, a rotary electronic component generating an electric signal with a stabilized waveform over a long time can be obtained.

The respective claws of the first ratchet and the second ratchet include the first inclined surfaces formed so as to be engaged in the rotation direction by rotations of the first ratchet and so as to be separated from each other, the second inclined surfaces having greater inclination in the reversed direction than the first inclined surfaces, top parts that link the upper parts of both inclined surfaces to each other, and flat parts that link the bottom parts of both inclined surfaces to each other.

摘要： A plurality of cylindrical-shaped or spherical-shaped magnets each including the N-pole and the S-pole formed at a predetermined angle interval are rotatably placed between upper case and lower case, and a plurality of magnetic detection elements are disposed opposite to the magnets at a predetermined gap. When a plurality of small magnets having a diameter of about 2 to 3 mm are rotated by the finger, from the rotation direction and the rotation angle of the magnets the operation direction and the operation amount of the finger can be detected. Therefore, it is possible to obtain an input device capable of making an entire input device with a low dimension so as to make the device thin, and capable of reliable operation.

A spindle extends through a main frame and is movable in its axial direction and rotatable about its axis. A first ratchet is rotatable and axially movable together with the spindle. A second ratchet is axially movable but unrotatable. In an impact drilling mode, the first ratchet is brought into abutment with the second ratchet so that the spindle is reciprocally moved in the axial direction.
