The storage device stores a storage provisioning negotiation module that, when executed, causes the processor to determine whether a received storage provisioning request is approved. If the received storage provisioning request is not approved, the storage provisioning negotiation module causes the processor to determine a set of alternative storage provisioning options based on predetermined negotiation rules.
