Upon generation of a data transmission event, a transmitter receives a feedback signal, encodes transmission data using an STC scheme indicated by the feedback signal, and transmits the code symbols to a receiver, and the receiver measures interference factors of available STC schemes using the received code symbols, selects an STC scheme with a smaller interference factor, and notifies the transmitter of the selected STC scheme by a feedback signal.

    摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for eliminating multi-user interference in a codebook-based beamforming system. A transmitter for providing a service to multi-users in the codebook-based beamforming system includes a beamformer for generating beamformed user signals by multiplying transmit data of users, to whom the service is to be provided, by corresponding weighting factor vectors using feedback information; a null space generator for generating a null space matrix orthogonal to weighting factor vectors of other users; and a projector for projecting the beamformed user signals on the corresponding null space matrix and transmitting the resulting signals through a plurality of antennas. Because the multi-user signals can maintain orthogonality, the performance degradation caused by the multi-user interference can be prevented.

    摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for eliminating multi-user interference in a codebook-based beamforming system. A transmitter for providing a service to multi-users in the codebook-based beamforming system includes a beamformer for generating beamformed user signals by multiplying transmit data of users, to whom the service is to be provided, by corresponding weighting factor vectors using feedback information; a null space generator for generating a null space matrix orthogonal to weighting factor vectors of other users; and a projector for projecting the beamformed user signals on the corresponding null space matrix and transmitting the resulting signals through a plurality of antennas.     摘要: Provided is a scheduling apparatus and method for allocating resources to individual users in a multiantenna system. An upper layer determines resources to allocate to respective users one a long term, and provides the ratio to a scheduler. Then the scheduler determines coefficients appropriate for the provided ratio. On the assumption that a statistical channel characteristic for a user is constant for a predetermined time, the scheduler determines a channel capacity average and a standard deviation for the user. The scheduler schedules resource allocation for individual users according to the channel capacity average and standard deviation values, which are the statistical characteristic values, and instantaneous channel capacity fed back for the individual users, together with the found coefficients.

The method includes selecting a spatial subchannel in which when bits are added by applying at least two spatial modes having different multiplexing gains for an individual subcarrier in a frequency domain, the minimum power increment is required during application of each spatial mode; allocating a spatial mode that requires the minimum total accumulated power, for each subcarrier; and selecting all subcarriers in the order of a subcarrier that requires the minimum power increment.
