    摘要： An insertion instrument which is connected to a manipulating head grip is composed of an elongated flexible tube section, an articular section and a rigid tip end section in series from a proximal end which is connected to the manipulating head grip. The articular section can be flexed in an arbitrary direction by way of a flexion control means which is provided on the manipulating head grip. A flexible tube straightening means is provided internally of the flexible tube section to straighten the same into a rectilinear form. The flexible tube straightening means is activated into a straightening action in interlinked relation with a flexing operation of the flexion control means.

    摘要： A high-frequency treatment tool comprising: a flexible sheath to be inserted into a treatment tool insertion channel of an endoscope; a treatment tool body provided inside the flexible sheath and comprising: a flexible cord; and a high-frequency knife to which a high-frequency current is applied, formed to the front end of the flexible cord; and a hard cylinder having an electrical insulating property, inserted and fixed inside the flexible sheath, wherein the high-frequency knife comprises blade portions radially provided in its axial direction, each of the blade portions including an engaging part, and wherein, when the high-frequency knife is made to stick out from the hard cylinder, engaging parts of the blade portions abut against a rear end portion of the hard cylinder so that: the high-frequency knife is engaged with the hard cylinder; and communicating channels that communicate an inside and an outside of the flexible sheath are formed between the blade portions adjacent to each other.

    摘要： An endoscopic gaseous material feed system comprises an endoscope 1 having a solid-state image sensor device 81 incorporated into a fore distal end portion of an elongated endoscopic insertion rod to be introduced into a body cavity of a patient or examinee, a gas feeder 3 loaded with a gas tank 60 which is packed with carbon dioxide gas to be sent to the body cavity, a light source 2 incorporating an air pump to supply air to the body cavity, a processor 4 for generating video signal data of an endoscopically captured picture image on the basis of electric signals from the solid-state image sensor 81, a detector 87 provided in the processor 4 and adapted to detect whether or not the endoscope is currently placed in a body cavity, from video signal data of the processor, and a feed gas source controller 85 provided in the processor and adapted to permit a supply of carbon dioxide gas or air when the detector 87 makes an affirmative judgment that the endoscope 1 is currently placed in a body cavity and to prohibit a supply of carbon dioxide gas when the detector 87 makes a negative judgment.

    摘要： In an endoscope system, a nasal endoscope for entry in a first external nostril of a patient includes a first elongated tube, a first distal portion thereof, an imaging window, an instrument channel, a handle section, and a steering section. An assist device for entry in a second nostril includes a second elongated tube, a second distal portion thereof, and a working channel with a greater inner diameter than the instrument channel. A retaining device retains the second distal portion on the first distal portion removably and equidirectionally, to cause a second distal end surface to contact a lower peripheral part outside a first distal end surface lower than a horizontal line passing a center point of the imaging window when the first distal end surface is viewed in a state of orienting an upper side of steering of the steering section in an upward direction.
