    摘要: In a SAW device containing two or more longitudinal mode coupling type SAW elements connected in parallel, each SAW element includes at least three comb shaped electrode pairs and a reflector electrode provided at both sides of the comb shaped electrodes. One part of respective comb shaped electrode pairs forming IDT electrodes is connected together in common by a ground connection electrode and connected with a ground pad. This configuration enables the number of connection pads to be minimized, thus providing a SAW device that is small in size and superior in filter characteristics.

    摘要: A longitudinally coupled surface acoustic wave filter includes a first, second and third IDT electrodes and a first and second reflector electrodes on a piezoelectric substrate. The IDT electrodes each include a primary excitation region having λ/2 electrode finger pitches, where λ is the wavelength of a surface acoustic wave. The primary excitation region is phase-shifted by a certain amount in accordance with a desired passband frequency response. The IDT electrodes further include a plurality of secondary excitation regions each having electrode finger pitches different from the λ/2 pitches. All of the electrode finger pitches of the surface acoustic wave filter thus range from 0.8λ/2 to 1.2λ/2, so that a loss increase caused by discontinuity between the IDT electrodes is prevented.

    摘要: A SAW filter comprising a piezoelectric substrate and at least two filter tracks formed on the substrate, each having at least two IDT electrodes for input and output. The two filter tracks have substantially the same phase within a pass band, while it is substantially inverse-phased outside the pass band. For realizing the above-described conditions, input IDT electrode of one filter track is connected in parallel with input IDT electrode of the other filter track, while output IDT electrode of one filter track is connected in parallel with output IDT electrode of the other filter track. Furthermore, frequency values of said two filter tracks substantially coincide at a point 3 dB lower from the peak transfer function value. Thus the above-configured SAW filter of the present invention is smaller in the overall size and offers a broad pass band and a steep attenuation characteristic.

    摘要: A surface acoustic wave filter. The filter includes two filter tracks which are parallel to each other. Each track has an input interdigital transducer, reflector and output interdigital transducer. This distance between the input transducer and output transducer is the same in both tracks. The distance between the output transducer and reflector is different in the two tracks. The electrical connection is in opposite phase in either the inputs or outputs, but not both. Electrode fingers are arranged in groups of two and have widths and spacings related to the wavelength.
