摘要： A method and apparatus for blocking harmful multimedia information are provided. The apparatus for blocking harmful multimedia information includes: a harmful information classification model training unit analyzing multimedia training information whose grade of harmfulness is known in advance, extracting characteristics from the information, and then by applying machine training, generating a harmful information classification model; a harmful information grade classification unit determining a harmfulness grade of multimedia input information by using the harmful information classification model; and a harmful information blocking unit blocking the multimedia input information if the determined harmfulness grade of the multimedia input information is included in a preset range. According to the method and apparatus, the increase of databases containing harmful multimedia information can be prevented and the time taken for determining harmfulness can be reduced.

摘要： An apparatus and method for collecting harmful web sites are provided. In the apparatus, a start uniform resource locator (URL) database (DB) stores URLs of harmful web pages. A URL examination and distribution unit provides URLs grouped in relation to predetermined hosts, the URLs obtained by removing redundant URLs that are different to each other but indicate identical web pages, among the URLs stored in the start URL DB, and then among the remaining URLs, removing URLs corresponding web sites already collected. A web site collection unit collects web contents of the web sites corresponding to the URLs received from the URL examination and distribution unit. A URL extraction unit extracts URLs in the links included in the web contents collected by the web site collection unit, identifies harmless URLs based on top-level domain names and a harmless URL list among the extracted URLs, and removes the identified harmless URLs from the URLs that are the object of the collection. According to the apparatus and method, the harmful site database is helped to maintain accurate, abundant, and latest information.

摘要： A method and apparatus for generating discriminant functions for distinguishing obscene videos by using visual features of video data, and a method and apparatus for determining whether videos are obscene by using the generated discriminant functions, are provided. The method of generating discriminant functions includes: creating a first frame set by extracting a predetermined number of frames for each video data unit from a group of video data classified as obscene or non-obscene, and creating a second frame set by selecting the frames; generating a frame based discriminant function by extracting visual features of frames of the second frame set, and then generating a first discriminant value by determining whether each frame of the first frame set contains obscene video data; generating a group frame based discriminant function by extracting visual features of a group of frames of the first frame set, and then generating a second discriminant value by determining whether the frames of the group contain obscene video data; and generating a synthetic discriminant function by using the first and second discriminant values as a representative value of the video data. Accordingly, obscene video data stored in a computer system can be automatically and accurately distinguished.

摘要： A method and a device for discriminating an obscene video using a time-based feature value are provided. The method includes: forming a first time-based flow of predetermined feature values varying with the lapse of time from one or more types of videos which are normalized with a first time interval; extracting a feature value varying with time from an input video of which obsceneness is to be determined and which is normalized with a second time interval, and forming a second time-based flow of the extracted feature value; and determining the obsceneness of the input video by calculating a loss value between the first time-based flow and the second time-based flow. The videos such as movies and dramas in which many persons appear have different obscenity characteristics from that of pornography, so it is possible to enhance reliability in determination of obsceneness.
