摘要: According to one embodiment, a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a gradient coil, power supply circuitry, and control circuitry. The gradient coil generates a gradient magnetic field. The power supply circuitry supply power to the gradient coil, the power being required by the gradient. The control circuitry temporarily change an upper limit value of power to be supplied by the power supply circuitry to a second value higher than a first value as a rated value based on the power required by the gradient coil.

摘要: An MRI apparatus includes a charge/discharge controlling unit, a judging unit and a condition restricting unit. The charge/discharge controlling unit includes a charge/discharge element, receives electric power, and charges the charge/discharge element by using the received electric power. The charge/discharge controlling unit also supplies a gradient magnetic field coil with electric power discharged from the charge/discharge element at a time of performance of magnetic resonance imaging. The judging unit judges whether capacitance of the charge/discharge element falls below a threshold value or not. The condition restricting unit restricts electric power amount supplied to the gradient magnetic field coil by restricting conditions of an imaging sequence, when the capacitance of the charge/discharge element falls below the threshold value.

摘要: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes a processing circuit and a sequence control circuit. The processing circuit calculates, based on an imaging sequence to be executed in magnetic resonance imaging, a value of a current flowing through a closed circuit by using an equivalent circuit and determines, prior to an execution of the imaging sequence, based on the value of the current, whether it is acceptable to execute the imaging sequence. The sequence control circuit executes the imaging sequence. The equivalent circuit is an equivalent circuit for a circuit that includes a gradient coil and that has a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit is connected to a power supply and has self-inductance. The second circuit includes at least one closed circuit having mutual inductance with the first circuit.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a gradient magnetic field power supply, a voltmeter, and processing circuitry. The gradient magnetic field power supply includes an amplifier amplifying an input signal based on information of a gradient magnetic field waveform and outputting the amplified input signal to a gradient coil, a power supply device supplying power to the amplifier, and a capacitor bank supplying power, together with the power supply device, to the amplifier. The voltmeter measures a voltage of the capacitor bank. The processing circuitry calculates frequency characteristics of an impedance of the gradient coil, based on a voltage variation of the capacitor bank which was measured by the voltmeter, and controls imaging in accordance with the calculated frequency characteristics.

摘要: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to a present embodiment includes a gradient magnetic field coil and a gradient magnetic field power supply. The gradient magnetic field coil applies gradient magnetic field to an object, the gradient magnetic field coil including a plurality of channels. The gradient magnetic field power supply calculates a required power for each channel, and distributes maximum power to a channel requiring higher power than the required power of other channels with priority to the other channels, the maximum power being a limit value of total power to be supplied to the channels as a whole.
