摘要: During the travel of a vehicle, the oil level of lubricating oil is lowered due to the suction by at least a first oil pump and the scraping-up by the rotation of a differential ring gear and so on. In particular, until the oil level becomes equal to or lower than an upper end of a first partition wall, the oil level is lowered due to both the suction by the first oil pump and the scraping-up by the rotation of the differential ring gear and so on, and therefore, a region, that is immersed in the lubricating oil, of the differential device rapidly becomes smaller. Since a suction port of the first oil pump is disposed in a second oil storage portion, the oil level in the second oil storage portion during the travel of the vehicle can be adjusted independently of that in a first oil storage portion.

摘要: A vehicle has an engine (26), a power storage device (10), two motor/generators (M/G1, M/G2), a front grille with a shutter, an engine room, a first temperature sensor, a second temperature sensor, and a controller. The shutter changes the amount of air introduced from the front grille into the engine room. The first temperature sensor detects a temperature (Tw) of a coolant of the engine, and outputs the detected coolant temperature to the controller. The second temperature sensor detects an outside air temperature (Te), and outpots the detected outside air temperature to the controller. The controller starts the engine (26) when the coolant temperature is equal to or lower than a threshold value. When the coolant temperature is higher than the threshold value, and the vehicle starts traveling in a first mode with power from the power storage device (10), the controller drives the shutter such that the amount of the air is reduced when the coolant temperature (Tw) is higher than the outside air temperature (Te).

摘要: A vehicle has a front grille, engine, engine compartment, power storage device, temperature sensor, shutter, heater and controller. The device can be electrically charged from an external power supply. The temperature sensor detects engine coolant temperature. The shutter is disposed in a transfer pathway of air drawn into the engine compartment via the front grille, and is switched between closed and open states. The heater is able to generate heat when receiving the electric power, raising the coolant temperature. The controller starts the engine when the coolant temperature is lower than a startup threshold value, drives the heater when the coolant temperature is lower than a first threshold value equal to or higher than the startup threshold value, until the coolant temperature becomes equal to or higher than the first threshold value, and drives the shutter to place the shutter in the closed state while the heater is driven.
