    摘要： A method for exposing a sheet to light radiation while it is under pressure, in which successive portions of the sheet which slightly overlap one another are sequentially clamped between a pressure plate and a light transmitting plate, and are irradiated with electromagnetic radiation through the light transmitting plate in the clamped condition. Further, a device for practicing the method is disclosed, which includes: a light source; a light transmitting plate arranged with the light source on one of its sides; a pressure plate which opposes the other side of the light transmitting plate; a member for relatively biasing the light transmitting plate or the pressure plate towards and away from each other; a device for transporting the sheet passing between the light transmitting plate and the pressure plate; and a control for controlling the light source, the biasing member, and the transporting device, which causes the light source to emit light when the pressure plate and the light transmitting plate are pressed against each other with the sheet between them, and which causes the transporting device to transport the sheet through a distance less than the width of the light transmitting plate, when the light transmitting plate and the pressure plate are separated by more than a certain predetermined distance.

    摘要： An exposure device for a thermal stencil sheet having a linear electronic flash discharge tube and an enclosure made of a plate member curved around the tube in a substantially cylindrical shape coaxial with the tube while defining a slit opening parallel to the tube, wherein a thermal stencil sheet is loaded into the enclosure through the slit opening and is supported in a substantially cylindrical shape coaxially around the tube for receiving direct infrared radiation from the tube with no interposition of a glass layer or the like.

    摘要： A mimeographic printing machine general comprises: a rotary plate cylinder for supporting a stencil on an outer circumferential surface thereof and having a perforation for passage of ink, the plate cylinder being rotatable with the stencil; means for supplying the ink to an inner circumferential surface of the plate cylinder; a squeegee movably received in the plate cylinder so as to come into and out of contact with the inner circumferential surface of the plate cylinder, the squeegee being operable to squeeze the ink from the supplying means toward the outer circumferential surface of the plate cylinder through the perforation of the plate cylinder; and a rod-shaped member rotatably received in the plate cylinder. The rod-shaped member is located behind the squeegee in the rotating direction of the plate cylinder and is movable with the squeegee for jointly holding the ink.

    摘要： The stencil duplicator includes: a cylindrical porous rotary printing drum and a means for selectively rotating it in a preferred direction; a means for clamping the leading edge of a stencil master along a generator of the printing drum; a means for supplying printing ink to the inner surface of the printing drum; a press roller means for pressing a paper sheet to the outer surface of the printing drum with a progressive rolling action; a means for feeding a paper sheet between the printing drum and the press roller means; a means for making a stencil master, including a light transmitting plate, a light source which selectively illuminates the light transmitting plate, and a pressure plate facing the light transmitting plate, with the light transmitting plate and the pressure plate being selectively able either to be separated or pressed together; a means for feeding the leading edge of a stencil master which has passed between the light transmitting plate and the pressure plate towards the clamping means so that it may be clamped thereby; and a means for controlling operation so that, when the light transmitting plate and the pressure plate are separated from one another with a stencil master interposed therebetween, the printing drum is rotated and by pulling via the clamping means on the leading edge of the stencil master withdraws it and wraps it around the printing drum.

    摘要： A magnet strip extends along one generator of a printing drum of a rotary stencil printing device. A clamp strip, made of a material which is magnetically attractable, is hinged to said printing drum along a line substantially parallel to said one generator thereof, near one side of said magnet strip, so that said clamp strip can be pivoted either so as to lie against and along said magnet strip, with a leading edge of a stencil master for stencil printing interposed therebetween so as to clamp the leading edge of the stencil master to the printing drum, or so as to be removed from said magnet strip so as to release the stencil master. Thereby the stencil master can be conveniently retained to the printing drum in a manner which is suitable for automation, and does not require any reinforced lug portion along the leading edge of the stencil master.
