摘要: A liquid crystal display includes a compact LC panel. The LC panel includes transparent front and rear plates between which a liquid crystal layer is disposed. The rear plate has a projecting portion which avoids facing the front plate. The projecting portion carries a semiconductor chip for display control and two capacitors cooperating with the semiconductor chip. One of the capacitors, first capacitor, is located farther from the semiconductor chip than the other or second capacitor is. A first conductor is provided for connecting the first capacitor to the semiconductor chip, and a second conductor is provided for connecting the second capacitor to the same chip. The first and the second conductors are made substantially equal in electrical resistance.

摘要: A filter circuit has: a first and a second current mirror circuit that are each built with a plurality of transistors and that respectively pass a first and a second mirror current according to a constant current; an input terminal via which an input pulse signal is fed in; a first transistor that, in response to the signal fed in via the input terminal and by using a supply voltage, makes the first current mirror circuit operate; a second transistor that, operating in inverted synchronism with the first transistor, in response to the signal fed in via the input terminal and by using a ground voltage, makes the second current mirror circuit operate; a capacitor that is charged by the first mirror current and that is discharged by the second mirror current; and an output terminal via which a voltage at one end of the capacitor is fed out. Thus, the filter circuit permits its filter constant to be set accurately in a wide range without relying on the driving capacity of the input signal, and can be integrated without an undue increase in device scale.

摘要: A memory stores correction coefficients for correcting variations of resistance values of coils L.sub.s and L.sub.c depending upon a temperature. A temperature or a resistance value of a cross coil meter is detected, and an output of a microcomputer is corrected using a correction coefficient stored in the memory. In accordance with the corrected output, a current amount to be supplied to the cross coil meter is controlled. Therefore, the cross coil meter can receive a predetermined amount of current regardless of a temperature variation.

摘要: Upon receiving an encipherment command, an enciphered authentication data generation circuit generates an enciphered authentication data based on a basic authentication data including a random number portion using an encipherment rule. The encipherment rule changes according to the number of supplied encipherment commands. A transmission circuit 7 transmits the enciphered authentication data. A reception circuit 9 receives the enciphered authentication data transmitted from a second device 300. A prohibition command output circuit 11 determines whether the enciphered authentication data transmitted from the second device 300 matches with an enciphered authentication data that would be generated if the same number of encipherment commands were supplied to an enciphered authentication data generation circuit of a first device 200, and outputs a prohibition command to prohibit a transmission of the data to be transmitted when the determination result is negative.

摘要: In an IC card 30 is sealed an IC chip 70 provided with an exposure sensor 84. When exposure sensor 84 detects that IC card 30 has been opened, exposure sensor 84 outputs an exposure detection signal to a CPU 76. In response to the exposure detection signal, CPU 76 provides a predetermined operation, such as erasure of data in a non-volatile memory 78. As such, the data in non-volatile memory 78 cannot be obtained if IC card 30 is improperly opened to check the data in non-volatile memory 78. Thus the IC card can obtain an enhanced data security.

摘要: An IC card 3 has an ID number ID0, for permitting itself to be identified, stored in memory provided therein. The IC card also has additional ID numbers ID1 to IDn stored in memory areas 17-1 to 17-n that are secured therein so as to be allocated to the individual providers that manage the reader/writers with which the IC card communicates. These additional ID numbers ID1 to IDn are used to prevent unauthorized use of the IC card, and are issued so as to be unique to the IC card by the individual providers that use the memory areas 17-1 to 17-n. Thus, the additional ID numbers ID1 to IDn differ from one IC card to another.

摘要: Oppositely arranged bumps (82,84) are electrically connected by connecting two IC chips (76,78) through an anisotropic conductor (80) to form an IC chip module (74). With IC chip module (74) having such structure, two IC chips (76,78) provided with functions of a processing portion and an antenna are simply stacked to provide a function for communication, and arrangement of interconnection outside IC chip (76,78) is not necessary. Thus, accidental breakage of the interconnection is avoided and assembly is extremely facilitated. Therefore, a circuit chip mounted card with higher reliability and reduced manufacturing cost and the like can be provided.
