摘要: A lumbar support includes a seat back body, a lumbar plate, and plate moving means for moving the lumbar plate back and forth. The plate moving means includes a base portion supported by the seat back body and having a pair of oblong holes, a screw rod supported for free rotation on the base portion and having a male screw on its outer surface, a nut member having a centrally formed female screw threadedly engaged with the male screw, the nut member being moved axially of the screw rod by turning the latter, an anchor member connecting the lumbar plate to the nut member and having a ring-shaped pivot portion at an end thereof on the side of the nut member, and a distance compensating pin passed through the ring-shaped pivot portion and supported at the oblong holes so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the oblong holes. When the nut member is moved axially of the screw rod, the distance compensating pin moves longitudinally of the oblong holes so as to compensate for a change in distance between the center of the ring-shaped pivot portions and the center of rotation of the screw rod.

摘要: Changes in the vertical inclination of a lumbar support plate pivotally mounted within a backrest cause different portions of the convex surface of the support plate to contact the back of the lumbar region of the backrest, vertically altering the site of support afforded by the plate. A cable transmits motion of user controls mounted on the outside of the backrest into incremental or continuous rotation of a circular cam. Cam followers on the rear of the support plate translate cam rotation into changes in support plate inclination. The disclosed mechanism is employable simultaneously with controls for rendering the support plate adjustable also in the horizontal direction.

摘要: In a headrest, a first connecting portion, including a first link and a second link relatively rotatably supported to the first link, is provided between a base portion and a receive portion movable between a first and second positions adjacent to/separate from the base portion. A drive portion drives the first connecting portion through a drive input portion provided at least either one of the first and second links by applying a driving force to the drive input portion in a moving direction of the receive portion toward the second position. First and second end portions of the first link are supported by the base portion and the receive portion through first and second pivot points. First and second end portions of the second link are slidably connected to first and second guide portions respectively provided at the base portion and the receive portion through first and second connecting points.
