摘要: A radio communication method for transmitting and receiving data between a first terminal and a second terminal comprises the following two steps. A step of establishing a connection between the first terminal and the second terminal when the first terminal and the second terminal have detected that a signal has not been transmitted on a predetermined channel, and the other step of starting data communications between the first terminal and the second terminal which have established the connection, and transmitting the predetermined signal on the predetermined channel from both the first terminal and the second terminal throughout the data communications.

摘要: A wireless communication system transmits information requested by a wireless communication terminal to the wireless communication terminal moving through a spot wireless area. In a wireless base station, an external information communication control section controls communication with a server. A contents memory stores at least a part of contents received from the server. A wireless communication section communicates with the communication terminal using a predetermined communication method. A control section establishes connection with the communication terminal using a first connection which does not require an authentication procedure, or using a second connection which requires the authentication procedure. An access control (restriction) section permits access from the communication terminal to the contents memory and prohibits access to the server when a type of connection is the first connection, and permits access from the communication terminal to the contents memory and to the server in the case of the second connection.

摘要: A transmission device includes a differential encoding section for differentially encoding transmission data, a first waveform generation section, a second waveform generation section, and two transmission antennas. A reception device includes a reception antenna, a delay detection section, and a data determination section for low-pass filtering a delay detection signal. The reception device receives modulated signals modulated by using two waveforms having low correlations with each other. Thus, regardless of the presence or absence of delay dispersion in a propagation path and even in a high-speed fading in which the propagation path varies at high speed, a transmission diversity effect can be achieved, thereby making it possible to improve transmission characteristics.

摘要: The present invention provides a wireless transmission system in which it is possible to exert a maximum path diversity effect even if the maximum number of effective branches is limited to a small number. A transmission timing control section (23) determines a transmission start timing to be a timing obtained by delaying a reference timing by a predetermined delay amount. A modulation section (21) modulates a signal by a modulation scheme such that an anti-multipath property is exerted when the signal is demodulated on a receiver side, and transmits the modulated signal at the transmission start timing. In a receiving station (12), a demodulation section (33) demodulates the receive signal to obtain receive data. The predetermined delay amount is such that signals are received at the receiving station (12) at a plurality of signal-receiving timings, and the number of signal-receiving timings is less than or equal to a predetermined maximum number of effective branches, a difference between the signal-receiving timings is greater than or equal to a predetermined delay resolution and is less than or equal to a predetermined maximum delay.

摘要: A data receiving device is provided enabling a reduction in the time required for extracting a partial band signal, and capable of being easily made in a simple structure as an LSI device without requiring a plurality of analog circuits having the same characteristics. The data receiving device includes: a first sampler for sampling an in-phase signal I(t) at every predetermined sampling period and outputting the sampled in-phase signal; a second sampler for sampling a quadrature signal at every predetermined sampling period and outputting the sampled quadrature signal; a partial band extracting section structured by a complex filter for extracting partial band signals IBr, QBr from frequency components included in the sampled in-phase signal and the sampled quadrature signal; and first and second delay detection operating sections for performing a delay detecting process based on the partial band signals and outputting detection signals.

摘要: An antenna switched diversity receiver comprising a plurality of physically separated antennas, a switching unit for selectively switching to one of the plurality of antennas to receive a burst in a time series, a decoding unit for decoding transmission data contained in the received burst in a reversed manner to coding, a bit-error-detecting unit for detecting a bit error in decoded data in each received burst, and a control unit for controlling the switching unit in accordance with the bit-error detection result. The receiver may additionally include a RSSI (received signal strength indicator) checking unit for checking a RSSI of a switched antenna and a RSSI holding unit for holding a RSSI. The receiver constructed as above controls switching based on detection of at least one bit error in each of m consecutive bursts burst alone or together with the RSSI. As a result, the receiver obtains excellent diversity effect while being compact and economical.

摘要: A multiplex signal processing apparatus in a signal transmitting and receiving system includes at the transmitting side: a first amplitude-modulator for modulating a first carrier by a main signal to obtain a vestigial sideband, amplitude-modulated main signal; a second amplitude-modulator for modulating a second carrier which has the same frequency but differs in phase by 90.degree. from the first carrier by a multiplex signal to obtain a double sideband, amplitude-modulated multiplex signal; an inverse Nyquist filter for filtering this signal to obtain a vestigial sideband, amplitude-modulated multiplex signal; and an adder for adding the vestigial sideband, amplitude-modulated main and multiplex signals to obtain a multiplexed signal. The apparatus at the receiving side includes: a Nyquist filter for filtering the multiplexed signal; a carrier regenerator for regenerating the first and second carriers from the multiplexed signal; a main signal detector for detecting the main signal from the multiplexed signal passed through the Nyquist filter by using the first carrier; a filter for removing quadrature distortion from the multiplexed signal; and a multiplex signal detector for detecting the multiplex signal from the multiplexed signal passed through the filter by using the second carrier. By inverse Nyquist filtering the auxiliary signal in quadrature to the picture carrier, a normal synchronous receiver will produce a conventional television signal without distortion (crosstalk) caused by quadrature distortion of an auxiliary signal containing additional picture information while at the same time allowing relatively simple demodulation of the auxiliary signal in improved receivers without adding distortion.
