    摘要: The present invention provides a method for guaranteeing a data consistency among a plurality of storages and sites, when data transfer is performed by asynchronous remote copying from a site including a plurality of storages. When writing is made into a first storage system or a second storage system, the storage system that received the writing transfers the write data to the other storage system within the site by synchronous remote copying. At this timing the first storage system gives the write data information for order assurance. Furthermore, the first or the second storage system transfers the write data and thus given information for order assurance to the third or the fourth storage system by asynchronous remote copying. Furthermore, the third or the fourth storage system which has received the write data transfers to the other storage system within the same site the write data and information for order assurance by synchronous remote copy.

    摘要: In the conventional storage system, consistency is ensured only for writing from a single storage. Asynchronous remote copying and local replication are also alternately suspended in the conventional system, so that the suspension time increases and the volume in which consistency is obtained becomes old. Two local replicas are prepared, for a volume containing stored data that is transferred from the main site by asynchronous remote copying, in the storage at the sub-site. Each pair of local replicas is alternately suspended by a time-specific suspension command according to the time of the timestamp attached to the write data, and replica data in which the time sequence is secured is continually prepared. When a failure occurs at the main site, the data is recovered using the replica data.

    摘要: A first storage system comprises an information processing device and a first volume, and is connected to an information processing device. A second storage system comprises a second volume and is connected to the first storage system. The second storage system performs power supply control relating to the second volume in cooperation with a remote copy, such that the remote copy and the power supply control are performed efficiently. Thus, a remote copy function performs power supply control of an HDD comprising a secondary volume of a remote copy pair, to match data copy status (such as stopping data copy to the secondary volume, or differential copying). Thus, longevity of the HOD and lower use of active power of a storage system can be realized.
