摘要： A display apparatus includes a display unit for displaying images, a backlight unit disposed behind the display unit for illuminating the display unit, an inverter unit for electrically controlling the backlight unit, a controller unit for controlling the inverter unit and the display unit, and a power supply unit having an exothermic heat distribution for supplying electricity to the inverter unit and the controller unit. The inverter unit and controller unit are disposed behind the backlight unit and the power supply unit is disposed on a side of the display unit, backlight unit, inverter unit and controller unit. The display unit, backlight unit, inverter unit, controller unit and power supply unit are disposed in a common housing. The inverter unit and the controller unit are arranged behind the backlight unit. An insulating member is further disposed between the power supply unit and the display unit at a position corresponding to a region of relatively large exothermic heat of the power supply unit, and the insulating member is disposed at a diagonal position with respect to the inverter unit. The display apparatus may be supported by a support structure including vertically tilting and laterally turning mechanisms.

摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel for data display comprising a pair of oppositely disposed substrates and a liquid crystal disposed between the substrates, a sheet of substantially transparent protection plate disposed opposite to and with a prescribed gap from a display surface of the liquid crystal panel for protecting the liquid crystal panel, and a polarizer sheet for selectively transmitting light having a plane of polarization in a prescribed direction disposed on at least the display surface of the liquid crystal panel. The display apparatus further includes an anti-reflection film disposed on at least a front surface on an opposite side with respect to the liquid crystal panel of the protection plate among two surfaces of the protection plate and a surface of the polarizer sheet. The anti-reflection film comprises a layer structure including at least one layer for promoting optical interference to decrease reflected light brightness and provided with surface unevennesses at a prescribed pitch.

摘要： A backlight device suitable for illuminating a transmission-type display device, such as a liquid crystal device, is constituted by a reflection member for reflecting light, a transmission member disposed opposite to the reflection member so as to form a space from the reflection member, and a light source disposed to emit light into the space. Light issued from the light source into the space is reflected by the reflection member and transmitted through the transmission member. The transmission member is preferably provided with a reflection layer having apertures having an aperture ratio which increases with an increase in distance from the light source toward a center of the space in a linear function, a hyperbolic function or a function intermediate therebetween of the distance from the light source. Between the transmission member and the display device, a prism sheet and/or a diffusion sheet may be disposed so as to improve the frontal illumination performance.

摘要： An active matrix type liquid crystal display apparatus can be driven with a low voltage, a reduced power consumption rate and a reduced circuit size without sacrificing the quality of the image it displays.
