Also disclosed is an apparatus for performing the disclosed method including a detector for detecting whether or not the vehicle is traveling around a curve and a transmission ratio shifter responsive to the detector that, if the vehicle is traveling around a curve when the shift process is in progress, performs the shift process so as to decrease the longitudinal forces that act on the driven wheels as a result of the shift process.

摘要： A motor vehicle wherein the combustion engine normally transmits torque to the wheels by way of an infinitely variable ratio transmission but receives torque from the wheels when the vehicle is coasting. The operator of the vehicle can manipulate one or more components (e.g., the gas pedal) of an actuating unit which includes one or more sensors arranged to monitor one or more parameters of the vehicle, and the ratio of the transmission is automatically regulated—at least temporarily—when the vehicle is coasting so that the speed of the coasting vehicle does not increase but decreases or remains unchanged. For example, one sensor can monitor the speed of the motor vehicle and another sensor can ascertain whether or not the gas pedal is depressed.

摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for controlling the operation of an engageable and disengable torque transmitting system and of an automated transmission that is connected to a differential and to the torque transmitting system by an input shaft. The system and the transmission are disposed in a power train of a motor vehicle having variable-speed drive unit, and the transmission is shiftable into any one of a plurality of gears. The torque transmitting system and the automated transmission comprise a control unit and at least one actuator arranged to vary the extent of engagement of the torque transmitting system and to shift the transmission into a selected gear. Further, there are means for transmitting signals between the control unit and the drive unit to controllably reduce the speed of said drive unit in response to at least one initial stage of automated shifting of said transmission into a selected gear and to controllably increase the speed of said drive unit during a next-following stage of automated shifting of said transmission into said selected gear.

摘要： A method of monitoring a torque transmission system with a manually switchable gearbox in the power train of a motor vehicle involves the utilization of at least one sensor unit at the input side of the torque transmission system to ascertain relevant positions of the shift lever of the gearbox and the driving torque of the engine of the motor vehicle. The thus obtained shift lever signals are memorized, together with comparison signals which are obtained as a result of filtering of the shift lever signals, and various characteristics of such signals are recognized and identified to indicate the intention of the operator of the vehicle regarding the switching of the gearbox. The thus obtained switching intention signals are transmitted to a controlled clutch operating system.
