摘要:
Wireless devices, methods, and computer-readable media for transmitting and receiving beacon frames are disclosed. A master station is disclosed. The master station may include circuitry configured to operate in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) on a plurality of sub-channels and a primary channel. The circuitry may be further configured to assign a high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) station to a sub-channel and transmit a legacy beacon on the primary channel with a first period. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit a HEW beacon on the sub-channel with a second period, wherein the second period is greater than the first period. The circuitry may be further configured to determine that the HEW station has data at the master station, and to transmit the HEW beacon on the sub-channel with an indication that the HEW station has the data. A HEW station is disclosed for receiving HEW beacons.

Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed. A HE station may include circuity. The circuitry may be configured to: generate a HE packet with a short preamble format or a long preamble format, wherein the HE packet comprises one or more legacy signal (L-SIG) fields followed by one or more HE signal fields (HE-SIG) and an HE long-training field (HE-LTF); and configure the HE packet to indicate whether the HE packet is configured with the short preamble format or the long preamble format. The HE packet may be configured with the short preamble format or the long preamble format based on one from the following group: a symbol after the L-SIG fields, a L-SIG polarity of a repeated L-SIG, a number of times the L-SIG fields is repeated, or a length field of one of the one or more L-SIG fields.

Wireless devices, methods, and computer readable media for transmitting and receiving beacon frames are disclosed. A HEW device may include circuitry configured to: operate in accordance with OFDMA on a plurality of subchannels and a primary channel, and transmit a first beacon on the primary channel to one or more legacy devices. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit a second beacon on the plurality of subchannels to one or more HEW devices. The first beacon may be an 802.11 legacy beacon and the second beacon may be a HEW beacon. A HEW device may include circuitry configured to: tune to an assigned subchannel; and receive a HEW beacon on the assigned subchannel. The circuitry may be configured to: enter a power saving mode; leave the power saving mode; and receive another HEW beacon on the assigned subchannel to synchronize the HEW device with the AP.

Embodiments of a transmission signaling structure for HEW are defined to carry packet information to configure OFDMA receivers for demodulation of a specific portion of the packet and/or to configure receivers for transmission using specific OFDMA and MU-MIMO resources. In some embodiments, the specific portion of the packet comprises one or more minimum bandwidth units of one or more 20 MHz channels. Each 20 MHz bandwidth structure may comprise several minimum bandwidth units to allow each 20 MHz channel to have a have smaller granularity than 20 MHz.

In a device or system, a total tone count is determined or selected for modulating a data payload. Two or more code words are interleaved into the data payload, and the data payload is transmitted on a channel of the device or system.
摘要:
A tone selection module selects tones suitable for use in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) data transmission device based on several constraints. These constraints include number of available tones, modulation type, and code rate. The OFDM device may use either wired or wireless transmission.

Embodiments of master station and method for high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) communication are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the master station is configured for HEW communication in accordance with an IEEE 802.11ax technique. The master station may transmit an indication to one or more of a plurality of HEW stations to indicate which one of a plurality of 20 MHz channels to monitor for a HEW signal field. The master station may configure the HEW signal field to indicate which of a plurality of subchannels of the indicated 20 MHz channel is allocated to the HEW stations for communication. The master station may transmit the configured HEW signal field in the indicated one of the 20 MHz channels and may communicate with the HEW stations on the indicated subchannels in accordance with an orthogonal-frequency divisional multiple access (OFDMA) technique.

Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for signaling high-efficiency packet formats using a legacy portion of the preamble in wireless local-area networks are disclosed. A high-efficiency (HE) wireless local area network (HEW) device including circuitry is disclosed. The circuitry may be configured to generate a HE packet comprising a legacy signal field (L-SIG) followed by one or more HE signal fields, and configure the L-SIG to signal to a second HEW device either a first packet format of the HE packet or a second packet format of the HE packet, where a length of the L-SIG modulo 3 is used to signal the first packet format or the second packet format. The circuitry may be configured to generate a duplicated L-SIG field with a polarity difference to indicate a third packet configuration of the HE packet or a fourth packet configuration of the HE packet.

Wireless devices, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed. A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The HEW master station may include circuitry. The circuitry may be configured to generate one or more resource allocations of a bandwidth for one or more HEW stations. Each resource allocation for a first portion of the bandwidth may be a multiple of a basic resource allocation or the entire first portion of the bandwidth. There may be only one resource allocation for a second portion of the bandwidth that is at least as large as the first portion of the bandwidth. In some embodiments, each resource allocation for the second portion of the bandwidth may be a multiple of the basic resource allocation or the entire second portion of the bandwidth.
