摘要: In the invention, a brush body 30 that is rotated and driven by a motor 32 is disposed in a suction unit 2, and dust is sucked from the suction unit 2 by a blower 4, while exhaust of the blower 4 is sent to the suction unit 2 side through an exhaust passage 27. While the exhaust of the blower 4 is blown to the motor 32 exhaust is blown to the floor for lifting the dust from the floor to enhance the dust collection efficiency, and moreover, if the output of the motor 32 for driving the brush 30 is increased, temperature rise of the motor 32 can be suppressed, and thus durability may be enhanced.

摘要: A vacuum cleaner introduces dust, as well as air, from a nozzle connected with the distal end of a hose into a dust collecting section in the cleaner body through an intake section, while detecting, by means of a detector, the volume of dust being introduced, and controls the output of an electric blower in accordance with the detected volume. One end of the intake section is connected with the proximal end of the hose, while the other end projects into the dust collecting section. Light-emitting and light-receiving elements are provided in the intake section to constitute the detector so as to enable positive detection of dust, easy checking of the contamination of the detector, and easy wiping of the detector.

摘要: An upright vacuum cleaner comprising a main body having a suction opening in the lower surface of its front portion and a handle body connected to a rear portion of the main body and extending upward. The main body is pivotally movable in the form of a seesaw as supported by contact portions on the main body positioned to the rear of the suction opening. The handle body is pivoted to the main body shiftably between an upright position and an inclined position and is provided on its lower end with propelling wheels which are positioned rearwardly away from a line perpendicular to a floor surface and passing through the pivot point. The main body front portion, namely the suction opening, is held raised from the floor surface while the handle body is in its upright position but comes into contact with the floor surface when the handle body is inclined through an angle suitable for use.

摘要: In a vacuum cleaner of the type arranged to stop a motor when a driven brush is overloaded due to engagement with carpet or other obstacles, a starter circuit responsive to a manually operable power switch is employed to start the motor. The rotation of the rotary brush is detected by way of a sensor which produces a voltage. The starter circuit produces another voltage for a given period of time after the power switch is turned on, and these voltages are fed to a latching circuit which produces a control voltage when neither of the first nor second voltage is applied thereto, and the control voltage causes a control unit to interrupt power to the electric motor. As a result, once the latching circuit is put in a latching state after the brush has stopped, the motor is prevented from starting again unless the power switch is turned on again.

摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for supporting an electric blower of a vacuum cleaner, comprising a front supporting member positioned between the front surface of the electric blower and a housing of the vacuum cleaner and a rear supporting member positioned between the electric blower and the housing thereof. The rear supporting member is fixed to the electric blower and the housing to prevent the electric blower from being moved in its thrust direction. The rear supporting member is fixed thereto such that one end portion thereof is fixedly secured to the rear portion of the electric blower and a groove portion formed on the periphery of the rear supporting member is engaged with a fixing member protrudingly provided on the housing. The front supporting member is formed so that at least the cross section of a portion thereof positioned between the front surface of the electric blower and the housing of the vacuum cleaner has a wedge-like configuration.
