    摘要: This invention discloses a hoisting apparatus for use with an elevator system including a reduction gear assembly connected to a driving electric motor and a sheave. A main rope is reeved around the sheave and a car is suspended from the rope for vertical movement. The reduction gear assembly includes a pair of large and small gears. The small and large gears are connected respectively to the input and output shafts of the reduction gear assembly and the input and output shafts are disposed in face-to-face relationship. The electric motor are connected to the input shaft while the sheave and a brake system is connected to the output shaft. One bearing of the sheave is integral with a gearbox of the reduction gear assembly, and the large gear is supported in an overhanging manner by the shaft of the sheave. This arrangement enables silent and safe operation of elevator cars.

    摘要: A reduction starter employing a planetary gear type reduction gear mechanism having an outer ring gear displaceable radially of a common axis of a central sun gear and an output shaft carrying planet gears for revolution about the common axis. The outer ring gear is formed by an internally toothed ring gear elastically deformable to assure uniform distribution of load torque to all planet gears. The tooth root bending stress of the ring gear is substantially equalized to the outer periphery bending stress thereof to improve the load performance of the planetary gear type reduction gear mechanism and thus reduce the size and weight of the starter. The outer ring gear has an outer rim of a radial thickness t and a plurality of radially inwardly extending teeth each having a height h. The rim thickness t is determined to'fall with a range of from +.ltoreq.0.8 h to +.gtoreq.0.4 h.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display element, which is installed in a projection-type color liquid crystal display, is provided with the first glass substrate. The first glass substrate is provided with the first micro-lens array on its light-incident side and the second micro-lens array on its light-releasing side. The first micro-lens array converges light beams of respective primary colors onto the vicinity of the light-releasing position on the second micro-lens array. The second micro-lens array makes the incident light beams parallel to each other and releases them from the liquid crystal display element. Thus, even in the case of using a projection lens having a small diameter, it is possible to improve the efficiency of utilization of light. Moreover, this arrangement eliminates the necessity of having to employ a comparatively expensive projection lens with a large diameter, thereby reducing the costs of production.

    摘要: There is provided a method for correcting a defect of a first wiring of a plurality of wirings in a display device, the display device including: a plurality of wirings extending in parallel to one another in a same layer in one gap region sandwiched between two adjacent picture element electrodes; and an upper insulating layer provided to cover the plurality of wirings, the method including the steps of: boring a first through hole and a second through hole in the upper insulating layer in a first portion and a second portion located to sandwich a break area that is the defect, respectively; and forming a repairing conductive film so as to electrically connect a portion of the first wiring exposed in the first through hole and a portion of the first wiring exposed in the second through hole.

    摘要: First, second, and third light sources serve to emit light having three primary colors, respectively. The first light source is activated by a first drive pulse which has a first width and which repetitively occurs at a specified frequency. The second light source is activated by a second drive pulse which has a second width and which repetitively occurs at the specified frequency. The third light source is activated by a third drive pulse which has a third width greater than the first and second widths and which repetitively occurs at the specified frequency. Time positions of front edges of the first, second, and third drive pulses are different. The first drive pulse occupies a time range contained in a time range for which the third drive pulse extends. The second drive pulse occupies a time range contained in the time range for which the third drive pulse extends.
