    摘要: In a liquid ejecting apparatus in which ink is supplied from an ink tank to a print cartridge detachably mounted on a carriage through a tube, connection between an ink needle at a tube side and an interconnecting member at a cartridge side can sealingly be effected positively, and ink supplying and connecting means can be made compact. A closing film having a small hole and a central slit is provided at a tip end of an interconnecting member made of soft material and fitted into an ink flow-in projection portion of the print cartridge into which an ink needle is inserted. Further, a notched needle tip end avoiding configuration is provided at a lower part of a tip end of the projection portion so that abutment between the projection portion and the ink needle can be avoided when the print cartridge is mounted and dismounted, thereby reducing a shifting amount of a needle holding member.

    摘要: A cartridge is detachably mountable to a holder of an ink jet recording apparatus, so as to be freely reciprocatable to scan across a recording medium and record thereon by discharging ink. The cartridge is defined by a cartridge main body, and is provided with a recording head for discharging ink from plural nozzles formed in parallel on a lower face of the cartridge main body facing the recording medium. A front face of the cartridge main body is provided with an electrical connection portion having cartridge electrodes, which are electrically connectable with corresponding electrodes of the holder. A rear face opposite to the front face is provided with an ink connection portion connectable to corresponding supply ports which supply ink to the recording head from a main tank installed elsewhere on the ink jet recording apparatus. With the cartridge thus structured, the force exerted for connection to the supply port does not affect the precision with which the cartridge is mounted on the holder.

    摘要: The present invention provides a storing structure for storing an ink jet head including a nozzle communicated with an opening for discharging liquid, a liquid storing portion for storing the liquid to be supplied to the nozzle and a liquid introduction portion for introducing the liquid into the liquid storing portion from exterior, wherein, in the ink jet head, air is housed in the liquid storing portion and the liquid is contained at least in the nozzle, and a cap unit including an elastic cap for covering an area of the opening and a liquid absorbing member disposed in the elastic cap is closely contacted with and attached, around the opening, to a face in which the opening is formed, and the liquid introduction portion is communicated with atmosphere at least when inner pressure of the liquid storing portion is increased, thereby maintaining a space within the cap unit to a wetting condition.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an elastic transformable body for adjusting vapor pressure, a vapor pressure adjustment chamber using the same, an ink-jet recording head having a vapor pressure adjustment device and an ink-jet recording device having the recording head, and more particularly to a vapor pressure adjustment device for adjusting negative pressure generated in a liquid chamber in an ink-jet recording head when discharging ink. The pressure adjustment chamber has at least one elastic transformation body having a changeable volume according to vapor pressure to adjust the vapor pressure in a container communicated thereto and a support for supporting the elastic transformation body to the container. In the pressure adjustment chamber, the elastic transformation body includes an approximately circular opening and two surfaces approximately flat before transformation at an outer circumference, in which the two surfaces have a shape extended through a curved portion at a front end opposite to the opening.

    摘要: An ink jet head for discharging ink comprises a plurality of elemental substrates having a plurality of discharge energy generating elements arranged in line for discharging ink, a grooved member having a plurality of walls joined with the plurality of elemental substrates arranged to constitute ink paths for each of the discharge energy generating elements, these ink paths being formed by joining the walls of the grooved member under pressure with the plurality of elemental substrates thus arranged, and among the plurality of walls, a plurality of ribs formed on the bottom of each wall arranged on each boundary between elemental substrates, and configured along this boundary line to abut upon each of different elemental substrates, respectively. In this way, any gaps and steps existing between the elemental substrates are sealed by the ribs formed for the walls of the grooved member when this member is joined with the elemental substrates under pressure, thus preventing any ink leakage from such gaps or steps, and also, suppressing the pressure wave cross talk between ink paths in order to perform recording in good condition.
