    摘要: Provided is an optical scanner capable of preventing a temperature rise in a polygon mirror and its surrounding, and contributing to the prevention of degradation in image quality. Two cells (an inlet and an outlet) among a plurality of cells of a strengthening rib structure disposed in an optical base are connected through a passageway so as to form a flow path of outside air (air), and a bottom surface of a drive board forming part of an outer wall of a containing chamber and supporting a polygon mirror is exposed to the flow path (passageway). Even if a motor and a motor circuit disposed in the drive board generates heat during rotation of the polygon mirror, the drive board is directly cooled by the air flowing through the flow path, so a temperature rise in the polygon mirror and its surroundings can be prevented. Thereby, degradation in scanning characteristics of a laser beam due to deformation of an enclosure resulting from a temperature difference during heat generation can be prevented.

    摘要: There is disclosed an image processing apparatus which applies an adjusting process to an image that includes a pixel to be processed. The image processing apparatus extracts an image area with a predetermined size including the pixel to be processed. The apparatus calculates a variation associated with the pixel to be processed from signal values of pixels included in the image area. The apparatus calculates a variation time count in the image area from the signal values of the pixels included in the image area. The apparatus calculates adjusting levels Fz1, Fz2, and Fe from the variation time count and the variation using a definition unit which defines correspondence among the variation time count, the variation, and the adjusting levels, and applies an adjusting process to a signal value of the pixel to be processed by the calculated adjusting levels. Note that the definition unit defines the correspondence so that the adjusting levels Fz1, Fz2, and Fe progressively change in accordance with different variation time counts or different variations.

    摘要: Provided are a light source apparatus capable of preventing a shift in an optical path of a light beam, and an optical scanner comprising the light source apparatus. An optical scanner comprises a light source apparatus in which four light sources corresponding to four colors Y, M, C and B are supported as a unit by one holder. The light sources are integrally disposed in a specific position (a position where the holder is disposed) on an optical base as a supporting base, so even if distortion of the optical base occurs resulting from a dynamic load, ambient temperature or the like, an influence of the distortion is exerted upon each of the light sources supported by the holder to substantially the same extent. Even if a shift in the whole arrangement of the light sources occurs, a large shift in a positional relationship between each light source does not occur. Therefore, compared to the case where the light sources are separately arranged, a shift in a relative positional relationship between optical paths of laser beams can become less likely to occur.

    摘要: A mechanism for adjustable installation of band plate-like members facilitates the separate adjustment of a cylindrical mirror in the normal direction of the reflecting face of the mirror, in a direction intersecting the normal direction, and the orientation of the reflecting face. A mirror holder housing a cylindrical mirror is disposed in a frame. Support shafts of the mirror holder penetrate holder plates attached slidably to the frame. Adjustment plates are linked to the ends of the support shafts from outside the holder plates, which are slid to allow the mirror holder to move in the normal direction of the reflecting surface of the mirror. The adjustment plate is rotated with respect to the holder plate to rotate about the support shafts and slides with respect to the holder plate and moves in a direction different from the normal direction to adjust the magnification, register, and skew of the mirror.
