摘要: A coloring device includes an image sampling device for sampling an input signal block representing a group of n.times.m pixels of a monochromatic image and for outputting first signals representing the sampled pixels of the input signal block of the monochromatic image; and artificial neural network, a connection for providing to the artificial neural network, substantially simultaneously, pattern information on patterns to be contained in the monochromatic image and color information on first data indicating colors given to the patterns indicated by the pattern information prior to generation of a color image signal, the artificial neural network having internal state parameters which are adaptively optimized by using a learning algorithm prior to the generation of a color image, the artificial neural network operating for receiving data representing the first signal, for determining which of colors preliminarily and respectively assigned to patterns to be contained in the group of pixels of the monochromatic image represented by the input signal block is given to a pattern actually contained in the group of pixels represented by the input signal block and for outputting second signals representing second data on three primary colors which are used to represent the determined colors given to the patterns actually contained in the group of pixels represented by the input signal block; and a color image storing device for receiving the second signals outputted from the artificial neural network, for storing the received second signals in locations thereof corresponding to the positions of the pixels represented by the input signal block and for outputting third signals representing the three primary color component images of the pixels represented by the input signal block; wherein the image sampling device further functions for scanning the whole of the monochromatic image by generating successive input signal blocks representing successive groups n.times.m pixels to be sampled, thereby outputting third signals for all pixels of the monochromatic image.

摘要: An apparatus for calculating the cube root of a number has: a first memory for initially storing a cube root extraction number from which the cube root is to be extracted; a second memory for initially storing a first number which is predetermined based on said cube root extraction number; a third memory for initially storing a second predetermined number; a fourth memory for initially storing a third predetermined number; and a fifth memory for storing a number. The relation in size between the number stored in the first memory and the number stored in the second memory is judged. When the number stored in the first memory is not smaller than the number stored in the second memory, the number stored in the second memory from the number stored in the first memory, a number generated from the number stored in the third memory is added to the number stored in the second memory means, and a fourth predetermined number is added to the number stored in the fifth memory. When the number stored in the first memory is smaller than the number stored in the second memory, a number generated from the number stored in the fourth memory is substracted from the number stored in the second memory, and the number stored in the fifth memory is shifted to the left. Until predetermined conditions are met, the above processes are repeated, and the number stored in said fifth memory is determined as the cube root.

摘要: A simple method of measuring the height of burrs such as formed in the crimped clamping portion of a crimp-style terminal, without cutting the terminal off from a cable fastened thereto, and a simple, inexpensive burr height measuring head to be used in combination with a displacement measuring device available in the market. The burr height measuring head comprises a grip, a measuring bit having a knife-edged tip and formed integrally with the grip so as to project from one end of the grip, and holding means rotatably joined to the other end of the grip and fixedly joined to the movable measuring member of a displacement measuring device. In measuring the height of a burr, the burr height measuring head is positioned with the knife-edged tip of the measuring bit in parallel contact with the bottom side of the burr, the scale of the displacement measuring device is adjusted so that the zero scale mark thereof coincides with the pointer of the displacement measuring device, the burr height measuring head is turned so that the knife-edged tip of the measuring bit extends substantially perpendicularly to the edge of the burr, the burr height measuring head is positioned so that the knife-edge tip of the measuring bit is in contact with the edge of the burr. The displacement of the burr height measuring head corresponding to the height of the burr is indicated on the scale of the displacement measuring device.

摘要: An input circuit adapted to be connected to an electronic translator is disclosed. The input circuit comprises an alphabetical keyboard for inputting key code information representative of letters in an input word and a single symbol additive key switch for adding any one of several specific symbols to at least one of the letters. The specific symbol represents, for example, an inflection and is needed to completely represent the input word. A circuit for changing the coded input representing the at least one letter by adding thereto coded input representing the specific symbol is provided.

摘要: In a preferred aspect of the present invention, there is provided a speech synthesizer timepiece with an alarm function or a remaining interval counting function. The timepiece is adapted to set advance announcements at different intervals depending upon the length of a remaining time with respect to an intended time, the intervals being increasingly shorter as the intended time is approached. The remaining time is audibly announced each time the advance announcements are to be delivered.

摘要: A glass laser amplifier having a number of trigger members comprising a number of flash lamps capable of emitting light to pump a laser glass arranged around said laser glass, a number of reflection mirrors for reflecting light from each of said flash lamps against said laser glass, and a number of trigger members each arranged at a side of a flash lamp opposite the reflection mirror with the flash lamp being held therebetween. Deflection of electric current in the flash lamp by the reflection mirrors is eliminated, and local heating of the inner wall of the flash lamp is prevented by the efficient elimination of the current deflection, resulting in an extensive life of the entire assembly.
