摘要： A permutation lock mechanism governs retraction of door latch means by the knob on the door. Clutch mechanism is so connected between the door knob, the latch means, and a control element on the permutation lock mechanism, that rotation of the knob in one direction, from one position to another, effects retraction of the latch means to free the door for opening only after proper decoding of the permutation lock mechanism, while such rotation of the door knob in exactly the same way in the event of improper decoding of the lock mechanism by an unauthorized person effects resetting of the lock mechanism.
