    摘要: A homogeneous, thermoplastic mixture comprising (A) from 85 to 99.5% by weight of isotactic polypropylene; and (B) from 15 to 0.5% by weight of a liquid, saturated diorganopolysiloxane having a viscosity of from 30,000 to 80,000 cSt at 20.degree. C.The elastic properties of moulded articles produced from the polypropylene/diorganopolysiloxane mixtures of the present invention are substantially improved by the addition of small quantities of diorganopolysiloxane while their dimensional stability under heat and their rigidity are largely preserved.

    摘要: A process for the production of modified polypropylene particles by polymerizing vinyl monomers in aqueous suspension wherein (a) an aqueous suspension is prepared which, based on 100 to 2000 parts by weight of water, contains 100 parts by weight of polypropylene particles, 4 to 30 parts by weight of a polar vinyl monomer and based on 100 parts by weight of the monomer, 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a radical chain polymerization initiator which has a half life of at least 2 h at a temperature of 80.degree. to 135.degree. C. and 10 to 1200 parts by weight of an organic solvent which is capable of swelling polypropylene, of which the boiling point at 760 Torr is at least 100.degree. C. and which is miscible with the monomers in any proportion; (b) the aqueous suspension is heated without decomposition of the initiator, the polypropylene being swollen and the monomer penetrating into the polypropylene, after which (c) the aqueous suspension is kept at temperatures of .gtoreq.85.degree. C. until polymerization of the monomer has ceased. The modified polypropylene is used to improve the mechanical properties of unmodified, optionally glass-fibre-reinforced polypropylene.

    摘要: A process for preparing a polyarylene sulphide which comprises reacting(a) dihalogenobenzene consisting of 50 to 100 mol % of a compound of the formula ##STR1## or a compound of the formula ##STR2## or a mixture thereof and of 0 to 50 mol % of a compound of the formula ##STR3## wherein X is halogen and each R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl having 5 to 20 carbon atoms, aryl having 6 to 24 carbon atoms, alkaryl having 7 to 24 carbon atoms and aralkyl having 7 to 24 carbon atoms with the proviso that at least one R is other than hydrogen and(b) 0 to 3.0 mol % based on the dihalogenobenzene content of a polyhalogeno aromatic of the formulaArX.sub.n (IV) wherein Ar is an aromatic or heterocyclic radical with 6 to 24 carbon atoms having at least 3 free valencies, X is halogen and n is .gtoreq. 3 with(c) an alkyl metal sulphide in(d) a polar solvent in the presence of(e) 0.05-2.0 mol of alkali metal fluoride per mol of alkali metal sulphide,for a polycondensation time of up to 30 hours and at a polycondensation temperature of between 160.degree. and 295.degree. C., the molar ratio of (a) to (c) being in the range from 0.85:1 to 1.15:1 and the molar ratio of (c) to (d) being in the range of from 1:2 to 1:15.
