摘要： A hanging device attachable to overlapping siding members for supporting objects comprises an insert edge extending outwardly from an upper section, an offset section, and a lower section. The insert edge is insertable into the joint between adjacent siding members and the lower section includes a support element adapted to retain objects. The offset section extends between and joins the upper section with the lower section, with the offset section spacing the lower section from a siding member when the insert edge is inserted between adjacent siding members. The hanging device may be biased about a pivot area when an object is held by the support element such that the insert edge is urged into the joint between adjacent siding members. The insert edge defines an obtuse angle relative to the upper section and the support element may comprise hook members or mounting holes.

摘要： A system and method for extending the time period at which a response signal can be received before a time-out occurs without altering the length of the time-out period defined in any transmission protocol, ensuring that the two faxes communicate using one of a predefined, e.g., standard, set of transmission protocols, and/or ensuring that the two faxes communicate using one of a predefined set of signal modulation techniques. The present invention receives signals transmitted from a local fax and transmits these signals to a remote fax. Similarly, the present invention receives signals transmitted from the remote fax and transmits these signals to the local fax. The present invention examines the contents of the signals and can modify the signal transmitted to the local fax in order to ensure that the two faxes communicate using a transmission protocol that is supported by the present invention and to ensure that the two faxes communicate using a signal modulation technique that is supported by the present invention.

摘要： Saw apparatus including an elongate power-driven saw arbor and a circular saw-supporting collar encircling the arbor and axially slidable thereon. The collar is moved axially on the arbor to shift the position of the saw by an elongate compression-transmitting shifter bar received in a peripheral channel in the arbor. A detent plate is attached to the shifter bar. The plate rides in an interior portion of the arbor channel of greater width than the main portion thereof, so it can restrain centrifugal force-induced radial motion of the shifter bar with respect to the arbor during rotation thereof. The shifter bar is of generally rectangular cross-section, and has radially extending recesses therein. The bar is connected to a shifter mechanism by a shoulder bolt, the shoulder of which is received in complementary cylindrical recesses in one end of the shifter bar and in a sleeve in the shifter mechanism, whereby the bolt permits no axial or circumferential movement between bar and shifter mechanism. The opposite end of the shifter bar is received in a slot extending between opposed faces of the saw-supporting collar. This end also includes a pair of detents, one each being disposed at each end of the slot, whereby this end of the shifter bar is connected to the saw-supporting collar with no axial or circumferential movement possible therebetween. The saw-supporting collar includes an annular portion which supports the saw at the precise axial midpoint thereof.

摘要： A system and method for extending the time period at which a facsimile response signal can be received before a time-out occurs without altering the underlying transmission protocol. The disclosed system and method determines a response time before which a response signal must be received by a transmitting facsimile station in order to avoid a time-out event. Before the response time arrives, the disclosed system and method generates and transmits a delay signal to the transmitting facsimile station which does not substantively interfere with ongoing communications. Instead, the delay signal causes the transmitting facsimile station to tickle an internal time-out counter which results in an extension of the response signal delay tolerance. Delay signal frames can be transmitted repeatedly to accommodate any desired time-out period.

摘要： An absorbent dental device has an inner core roll of absorbent material adjustably telescoped within a hollow cylindrical outer roll of absorbent material. The adjustable positioning of the inner core roll within the hollow outer roll permits adjustably sizing of the device, while the pliant material of the rolls facilitates shaping of the device. The device may be used separately as a fluid and debris absorbing device within the patient's mouth during a dental procedure. The device may also be used as an aspirator cover to prevent damage of the mouth tissues and promote patient comfort while at the same time providing the aspirator with an extension of desired size and shape.
