摘要： A clamp mechanism comprises a turntable, a plurality of chuck claws, and a driving element. The turntable is rotatably driven by a motor. A disc serving as a recording medium is placed on the turntable. The chuck claws are used to hold, that is, clamp the disc on the turntable. The driving element drives the chuck claws both in both a first direction determined to clamp the disc and a second direction determined to unclamp the disc. The driving element includes a pressing portion so that travel of the chuck claws in the first direction in cases where the chuck claws are driven in the second direction. This offers stable clamping and unclamping operations of the chuck claws to detachably hold the disc on the turntable, independently of which attitude the disc takes.

摘要： For providing an information recording medium playback apparatus, which can miniaturize a transporting unit to insert and eject an information recording medium for miniaturizing as a whole, the CD changer 1 includes an apparatus main body and a disk-transporting unit 4. The disk-transporting unit 4 includes a transporting roller 13 and a guide member 82. The transporting roller 13 and the guide member 82 are energized in a direction to be close to each other. The apparatus main body includes pushing members 80, 81 to separate the transporting roller 13 from the guide member 82 when the disk-transporting unit 4 is positioned in an insert/eject position for inserting and ejecting the CD.

Second walls 27 are mounted on the rotating member 25 and the moving member 26. The cam member 24 is movable between the moving chassis 18 and the second walls 27 along an arrow K, and is provided with a guiding groove 31 engaged with the projection 29. First and second spaced grooves 39, 40 are respectively formed between the moving chassis 18 and the cam member 24, and between the cam member 24 and the second walls 27.

摘要： For providing a recording medium playback apparatus, which can prevent that clamping a recording medium in playback is unlocked, a CD changer includes a movable frame 66, a clamp unit 67, a pick-up unit 69, a lock unit 70 and a clamp lock/unlock unit 71. The movable frame 66 is movable against a main body. The clamp unit 67 is arranged on the movable frame 66 and clamps a CD 2. The pick-up unit 69 can move freely between a unclamp position to move close to the clamp unit 67 so as to unlock clamping of the clamp unit 67 and a playback position apart from the unclamp position more than the clamp unit 67. The lock unit 70 can move freely between a unlock position to make the movable frame 66 movable and a lock position to fix the movable frame 66. The clamp lock/unlock unit 71 in the unlock position limits the pick-up unit 69 to move close to the clamp unit 67 until the unclamp position.

摘要： A recording medium playback device, by which the number of parts can be prevented from increasing and a size of the device can be prevented from being enlarged, is provided. A CD changer includes a disk receiving part, disk carrying part, positioning part, motor, and transmission restricting part 74. The disk receiving part has a plurality of holders each for holding a CD. A plurality of the holders are arranged being piled on one another and movable along the arranging direction. The disk carrying part carries the CD. The positioning part moves the disk receiving part along the arranging direction. The motor supplies drive force to both the disk carrying part and the positioning part. The transmission restricting part 74 restricts the drive force of the motor to be transmitted to the positioning part when the disk carrying part carries the CD.

The stopper part 100 includes a first stopper 103, a second stopper 104, a swing stopper 105, an up-down stopper 106, and an auxiliary stopper 107. When the disk playback part plays back the selected CD, the first stopper 103 supports the other CDs at the arrow K1 side, and the second stopper 104 and the auxiliary stopper 107 support the other CDs at the arrow K2 side. The swing stopper 105 supports the selected CD. When the selected CD is clamped, the swing stopper 105 is saved from the selected CD.

A CD changer 1 has a main body 3, a holder 19, and a guiding mechanism 91. The main body 3 has a slot 10 for inserting or removing a CD 2. The holder 19 has a holder body 80 and a locking member 82. The holder body 80 has a C-shaped retainer 84 and a flange 85. The locking member 82 is disposed at an end 80b of the holder body 80 and locked to the CD 2. The guiding mechanism 91 has an arm main body 92 and a guiding part 94. The arm main body 92 is disposed rotatably. The guiding part 94 projects inwardly from an inner edge 85a of the flange 85 when the CD 2 is inserted. The guiding part 94 has a pair of guiding projections 96. The guiding projections 96 position an outer edge of the CD and the locking member therebetween. The guiding projections 96, or the guiding mechanism 91, guide the CD to the holder 19.

摘要： The feed mechanism has a lead screw 11, a pickup assembly 12, an engagement piece 13, and a restrictor piece 14, a compressed coil spring 15, and a bearing portion 16. The engagement piece 13 has a thread portion 41 engaged with a screw groove 23 of the lead screw 11. The engagement piece 13 moves along the lead screw 11 and can come close to and off from the lead screw 11. The pickup assembly 12 moves together with the engagement piece 13. The restrictor piece 14 prevents the engagement piece 13 from disengaging from the lead screw 11, except when the screw groove 23 moves apart from the thread portion 41. The compressed coil spring 15 urges the engagement piece 13 toward the lead screw 11. The bearing portion 16 rotatively supports the lead screw 11 and allows the lead screw 11 to move apart from the engagement piece 13 when the engagement piece 13 has reached an end thereof.
