    摘要: A method and system for formulating an SINR metric for cells using only the existing RSRP and RSRQ measurements. With this method and system side information is exchanged between eNBs of an E-UTRAN using the X2 interface where the X2 interface carries the X2 Application Protocol (X2AP). The side information is introduced either within X2AP messages exchanged between NB nodes or via modification of existing X2AP messages. Serving cell system information block (SIB) messages may also be modified or new SIB messages introduced to facilitate computation of an SNIR metric at a UE.

    摘要: A method is provided for an access node to perform channel estimation. The method includes, when a UE and a relay node are present in a cell with the access node, the access node receiving from the UE and from the relay node DMRS that are cyclically shifted relative to one another. The method further includes the access node performing a first channel estimation based on the DMRS that was transmitted by the UE, performing a second channel estimation based on the DMRS that was transmitted by the at least one relay node, combining the first channel estimation with the second channel estimation to derive a combined channel estimation, using the first channel estimation to demodulate control information received from the UE, and using the combined channel estimation to demodulate data received from both the UE and the at least one relay node.

    摘要: A system and method for implementing call handover (HO) is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) is configured to communicate with a wireless communication network. The UE is configured to transmit a measurement report to at least one of a serving cell and at least one cell of a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) cell set. The UE is also configured to listen for control channel transmissions from at least one of the serving cell and a first cell in the CoMP cell set, receive a resource allocation from at least one of the serving cell and the first cell in the CoMP cell set, and receive an HO command jointly from the serving cell and the first cell in the CoMP cell set. The HO command identifies a target cell. The UE is also configured to perform handover to the target cell identified in the HO command.
