摘要： Recording paper fed from a paper feed section comes in contact with a paper detection member of a detector unit and the paper detection member is rotated about a first fulcrum, shading the optical axis of an optical sensor. When the recording paper passes through and the paper detection member is brought out of contact with the recording paper, the paper detection member is restored to the former position and does not shade the optical axis. A carriage/cartridge detection member of the detector unit comes in contact with a carriage engagement part and a cartridge engagement part placed in a carriage and is rotated about a second fulcrum, shading the optical axis of the optical sensor. When the carriage/cartridge detection member is brought out of contact with the engagement parts, the carriage/cartridge detection member is restored to the former position and does not shade the optical axis.

摘要： A transferring tray for a printing apparatus for printing on one major surface of a recording media having disc shape, wherein the printing apparatus includes, a carriage having a printing head, reciprocating in a main scanning direction, a transferring unit transferring the recording media in a sub scanning direction, a detecting unit detecting the recording media being transferred by the transferring unit, and a recording unit printing on the one major surface of the recording media, the transferring tray including: a tray body having a rectangular plate shape made of a material which is not detected by the detecting unit; a detected portion formed on either one of two major surfaces of the tray body, being detectable by the detecting unit; and a mounting portion having a mounting recess such that the one major surface of the recording media comes up to substantially same level as one of the major surfaces of the tray body when the recording media is mounted on the transferring tray.

摘要： A first region is defined on the head face so as to include a first group of nozzles among all nozzles formed with a recording head. A first amount is defined as a difference between a first reference position at which a leading edge of a recording medium situated at a recording start position is placed and a first shifted position at which the leading edge of the recording medium, which has been most shifted in a subscanning directions and most inclined within a feeding tolerance of a feeder, is placed. A first virtual leading edge is defined at a position where is shifted from the first reference position to a downstream side of the subscanning directions by the first amount. A second virtual leading edge at a position where is shifted from the first reference position to an upstream side of the subscanning directions by the first amount. A first type of recording is performed with the first group of nozzles, when an end of the first region in the upstream side of the first directions is situated at the first virtual leading edge. A second type of recording is performed with all the nozzles, when the end of the first region in the upstream side of the first directions is situated at the second virtual leading edge.

摘要： A method of preparing a modified polyethylene which comprises melt kneading 100 parts by weight of (A) a high density polyethylene having a branching degree of not more than 5 per 1,000 carbon atoms of principal chain, from 0.2 to 3 parts by weight of (B) an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, and from 0.01 to 0.5 part by weight of (C) an organic peroxide, the weight ratio of (C) to (B), (C)/(B), being from 0.01 to 0.5.The modified polyethylenes obtained by the use of the method of the present invention not only have excellent heat resistance, moldability, and so forth, but also are extremely improved in their adhesion property, especially in the property of adhering to a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, a polyamide resin, and a polyester resin, and therefore the modified polyethylenes can be advantageously used with these materials for the production of laminated boards.
