    摘要： A light emitting device is composed of a pair of electrodes and an organic compound layer interposed between the electrodes. In the organic compound layer is used a organic compound shown by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or a halogen atom, R.sup.2 is X--Ar.sup.1 ; X is NH, O or S, Ar.sup.1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring having a partial structure shown by the following formula (2): ##STR2## or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic ring; each of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic ring; each of R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic ring.

    摘要： An organic luminescence device is constituted by an organic luminescence lamination structure comprising a pair of an anode and a cathode, and at least one organic compound layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, a hermetic sealing housing enclosing therein the organic luminescence lamination structure and blocking external air, and a drying agent disposed within the hermetic sealing housing. The drying agent comprises a compound represented by the following formula (1): R—NCO  (1), wherein R denotes a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted styryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted acyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group. The drying agent comprises the compound of the formula (1) in a polymerized form.
