    摘要: A variable valve system varies an operation condition of an engine valve by controlling an angular position of a control shaft in accordance with an operation condition of the engine. The system has an actuating mechanism for actuating the control shaft. The actuating mechanism comprises a mounting member that is connected to one end of the control shaft by means of bolts and has a projection projected axially in an opposite direction of the control shaft; a permanent magnet piece that is mounted on the projection thereby to rotate together with the control shaft; and a sensing device that senses a rotation condition of the permanent magnet piece.

    摘要: A valve control apparatus includes a drive shaft; a control shaft including a control shaft main body configured to be rotationally controlled according to a state of engine, and a control eccentric shaft located eccentrically relative to a rotation center of the control shaft main body; a rocker arm swingably supported by the control eccentric shaft and configured to convert a rotational motion of the drive shaft to a swinging motion; and a swing cam configured to open/close an engine valve according to the swinging motion of rocker arm. Both ends of the control eccentric shaft are formed with fixing holes extending in a radial direction of the control eccentric shaft. The control shaft main body is formed with insertion holes passing through the control shaft main body in a radial direction of the control shaft main body. The insertion holes respectively face the fixing holes. The control eccentric shaft is fixed to the control shaft main body by bolts. The bolts pass respectively through the pair of insertion holes and are screwed respectively into the fixing holes.

    摘要: An exhaust brake is incorporated with an internal combustion engine. The brake comprises an exhaust rocker arm actuated by an exhaust cam for operating an exhaust valve; a brake rocker arm actuated by a brake cam; a first contacting unit held by either one of the exhaust and brake rocker arms; a second contacting unit held by the other of the exhaust and brake rocker arms. The second contacting unit is contactable with the first contacting unit when an exhaust braking is needed. Only when the brake rocker arm is actuated by the brake cam upon need of the exhaust braking, there induces the contact between the second and first contacting units, which provides an integral action of the exhaust and brake rocker arms thereby to actuate the exhaust valve for establishing the exhaust braking.

The actuating mechanism comprises a threaded shaft that is rotated about its axis in accordance with the operation condition of the engine; a nut member operatively engaged with the threaded shaft, so that upon rotation of the threaded shaft the nut member runs axially along the threaded shaft; a link mechanism provided between the control shaft and the nut member, so that the axial movement of the nut member along the threaded shaft induces a rotational motion of the control shaft; and a biasing mechanism that biases the nut member relative to the threaded shaft at least at a predetermined range of the operation condition of the engine valve.
