摘要： A bottom tenser utilized for a drafting means of a spinning frame, especially for fasciated yarn spinning, in which a fiber bundle is attenuated at a high speed exceeding 100 m/min. The bottom tenser as well as a bottom roller corresponding to the tenser is provided with a free end through which an apron is easily removable from and mountable on the tenser and the roller. The tenser may be constituted by a body and at least a guide wall movable relative to the body. The guide wall prevents lateral movement of the apron in its operative position and, in turn, is displaced or removed from the body in its non-operative position so as not to obstruct an apron exchanging operation.

Motions of the associated parts are controlled as so to be able to achieve a suitable overlapping length of the yarn and the fiber bundle in the nipping area of the aprons.

摘要： A method of yarn piecing in a fasciated yarn spinning unit is disclosed by which a yarn having a broken end and drawn out from the yarn package is introduced through the false-twisting nozzle by conducting an intermediate portion of the yarn into a slit which is formed on a lateral side of the nozzle and extends to the yarn passage channel in the nozzle. Because the yarn has been previously cut into a predetermined length thereof, the cut end of the yarn is placed in the drafting zone of the drafting mechanism at a position where the cut yarn end overlaps a broken end of the fiber bundle. By restarting the spinning operation, the overlapping ends of the yarn and fiber bundle are drafted properly in the drafting zone and then the fibers in the overlapping ends are intermingled by the false-twisting effect of the rotary stream of jetted air while they are advanced through the false-twisting nozzle.

摘要： In the piecing operation, the broken ends of a yarn and a fiber bundle are sucked into a suction nozzle, and therein are entangled due to twists imparted to the fiber bundle by first vortices utilized for forming a fasciated yarn. The broken end of the yarn may be twisted in reverse of the fiber bundle by second vortices. Further, third vortices weaker than the first vortices may be used instead of the first vortices. The apparatus comprises jets for generating the second and third vortices and piping for transporting air to the jets and from the suction nozzle, as well as a control circuit thereof.

摘要： A spinning apparatus for a fasciated yarn is provided which comprises a fiber-opening means provided with a combing roller, a fiber-collecting means including an inlet member and a rotor, a twist-imparting means consisting of an air nozzle, and a yarn take-up means. A sliver opened by the combing roller is fed to the interior of the rotor through the inlet member. Since the rotor and the inlet member rotate reversely to each other, the fibers are evenly distributed on an inner surface of the rotor. An intermediate yarn drawn out from the rotor is supplied to the air nozzle under an overfeeding condition, whereby a good fasciating effect is imparted to the resultant yarn by a vortex. Prior to feeding the yarn to the air nozzle, the yarn may be drafted between two pairs of rollers. The apparatus is easy to maintain because a roller drafting means having an apron which rapidly wears due to high-speed processing is not utilized.

摘要： A method and apparatus for spinning a modified fasciated yarn at a high production rate featuring a combination of open-end spinning and fasciated yarn spinning. A sliver is opened by a combing roller and deposited as a fiber layer on a fiber collecting surface of a drum rotor rotating at a high speed. Thereafter, the fiber layer is drawn off from the fiber collecting surface as a continuous fiber bundle by a central rotor rotating coaxially with the drum rotor at a faster speed. During the drawing-off operation, the fiber bundle is flattened to a ribbon form by making contact to a deflector and is subjected to a vortex within an air twisting nozzle mounted on the central rotor to form a resultant yarn. According to the present invention, high production rate can be obtained because a roller drafting system having aprons can be omitted.

摘要： A spinning machine is disclosed, which generally comprises a spinning rotor having a frusto-connical fiber sliding surface consisting of a first fiber sliding portion, onto which discrete fibers are first supplied, and a second fiber sliding portion connected to the first fiber sliding portion, a bottom surface, and a fiber collecting groove formed between the second fiber sliding portion and the bottom surface. The spinning machine further comprises a yarn take-up tube centrally extending into the spinning rotor to take up a spun yarn therethrough.The first fiber sliding portion forms an angle (.alpha.) with a plane of rotation of the spinning rotor larger than an angle (.beta.) formed by the second fiber sliding portion with respect to the same plane. The bottom surface of the spinning rotor includes a fiber guide portion, which forms the fiber collecting groove in cooperation with the second fiber sliding portion and is inclined at an angle (.delta.) with respect to the plane of rotation. This angle (.delta.) is so selected as to fulfill the condition .delta.=.epsilon..+-. about 5.degree., where angle .epsilon. is a measure of the inclination of the yarn taking off line, with respect to the plane of rotation, connecting the lowermost point of the yarn take-up tube with an intersection of the second fiber sliding portion and the fiber guide portion.
