摘要： Disclosed is an intermediate transfer member disposed between an image forming body and a recording medium, for transferring and holding a toner image formed on a surface of the image forming body onto a surface of the intermediate transfer member once and then transferring the toner image onto the recording medium, the intermediate transfer member including: a rubber composition, wherein the state of occurrence of cracks in the rubber composition after the rubber composition imparted with 20% of elongation has been exposed for 120 hours to an environment with an ozone concentration of 10 ppm and with a temperature of 40.degree. C. is specified such that no crack is seen, or the number of cracks and the depth of cracks satisfy a specific evaluation standard.

摘要： A new intermediate transfer member which has a durable coating layer which easily conforms to the elastic deformation of the rubber layer, exhibits good wear resistance, permits easy resistance control, and fulfills such requirements as protection of the photosensitive body from staining, prevention of toner sticking, and decrease in the coefficient of friction. It is characterized in that the coating layer is composed mainly of a urethane resin which is formed from a polyol compound and a polyisocyanate compound in an excess amount in terms of NCO/OH molar ratio and which contains a solvent-insoluble fraction no less than 70%.

摘要： In the case of filling and setting the liquid powders or the particles in a plurality of cells formed by the partition walls on the substrate, the method includes the steps of: setting a nozzle at an upper portion of a container; setting the substrate, on which the partition walls are arranged, at a lower portion of the container; scattering the liquid powders or the particles dispersed in a gas from the nozzle arranged at the upper portion in the container; and filling the liquid powders or the particles in the cells on the substrate arranged at the lower portion in the container. After this filling, the method further includes: a filling step for filling a predetermined amount of the liquid powders or the particles in spaces constituting the image display cells isolated by the partition walls; a removing step for removing unnecessary liquid powders or unnecessary particles remaining on the partition walls in the filling step; a substrate stacking step for stacking the transparent substrate and the opposed substrate via the partition walls and applying a sealing agent at a peripheral portion of the substrate so as to make an atmosphere between the transparent substrate and the opposed substrate uniform; and an electrode adhering step for connecting a circuit for displaying the image to the electrode so as to form a module.

摘要： There are disclosed an intermediate transfer member which has the function of transferring an image formed on the surface of an image formation body to a recording medium, and which has a surface hardness of at most 80 N/mm2 expressed in terms of universal hardness at a depth from the surface of the member equivalent to the average particle size of a toner to be used for forming an image or at a depth of 7 &mgr;m; an intermediate transfer member which has the function of transferring an image formed on the surface of an image formation body to a recording medium, and which has a Z value of at least 0.5, in which the Z value is calculated by the following formula; Z=[elastic energy]/[elastic energy+plastic energy]  (I) which formula is obtained from deformation restoration behavior of the surface of the intermediate transfer member at the time of measuring the universal hardness of the surface thereof; and an image formation apparatus which is equipped with the intermediate transfer member. The above-mentioned intermediate transfer member is remarkably effective in preventing toner adhesion or fixing and enhancing the durability of itself by virtue of the specific constitution. Further, the member is capable of properly correcting the deformation energy behavior in an extremely shallow region of the member surfaces, and effectively preventing the deformation accompanying the repeated contact of the member with a toner and related members. Thus the durability of the member is surely enhanced.

摘要： In the image display device, in which the image display media are sealed between opposed substrates, at least one of two substrates being transparent, and in which the image display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display an image, a construction of the particles utilizing as the image display media is improved (the first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth aspects of the invention), and, a material of the particles utilizing as the image display media is improved (the third, seventh and tenth aspects of the invention). Therefore, the whiteness of the particles and the liquid powder using the particles can be improved, and it is possible to prevent the particle agglutination and to control the charge property. Moreover, in the image display panel in which the particles and the liquid powder are used as the image display media, it is possible to obtain a durability such that a contrast of the image display during a repetition display is not decreased. As a result, in the image display device in which the image display panel mentioned above is installed, an excellent image display can be achieved.

摘要： The present invention provides an information display panel capable of maintaining an excellent image property even after repeated rewrite, and particles for display media used therefor. The information display panel, in which at least one kind of display media including a charged particle for display media are sealed in a space between substrates at least one of which is transparent, for displaying an image by application of electrostatic force to the display media by means of an electronic field forming means, uses the particle for display media comprised of a mother particle, child particles and fine particles. The child particles, having a molecular structure of three-dimensional crosslinked structure and a particle diameter smaller than that of the mother particle which has no molecular structure of three-dimensional crosslinked structure, are embedded in a surface of the mother particle. It thereby hardens the surface of the mother particle. Then, the fine particles having the particle diameter smaller than that of the child particles are attached to the mother particle having the child particles embedded therein, it is thus possible to prevent the fine particles from being buried in the mother particles.
