    摘要: The present invention makes it possible to strip off a stamper stuck on a resin layer for groove formation during the manufacture of an optical disc from the resin layer without imparting damage or the like to the stamper. The present invention achieves this object by having the steps of bringing about a state in which the stamper protrudes from a substrate by a predetermined width, rotating the substrate with the back surface of the disc-shaped substrate attracted and held, elevating rollers capable of rolling relative to a contacting surface contacting with the protruding portion simultaneously with the rotation, and continuously applying a force working in a direction to separate the protruding portion from the substrate in the circumferential direction of the stamper.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a multiplayer optical recording medium by depositing two recording layers, with a spacer layer sandwiched therebetween, on a substrate. The method includes using a rubber chuck which can undergo elastic deformation at least in radial directions to close a central mounting hole of the substrate to thereby fix the substrate having the recording layer formed thereon on a turntable. After a coating liquid for forming the spacer layer is dropped in the vicinity of a boundary portion between a peripheral surface of the rubber chuck and the substrate, the rubber chuck is caused to chuck a stamper for forming the first recording layer thereon while allowing the stamper to be placed over the substrate. Thereafter, the turntable is rotated to spin-coat the coating liquid. This makes it possible to form a spacer layer having a uniform layer thickness while preventing intrusion of air bubbles, without leading to high manufacturing costs.

A method of manufacturing an optical recording medium including the steps of: (A) providing a radiation-curable resin layer backed with a lining sheet 12 on a stamper 11 for the formation of information pits and/or grooves for the first recording layer, irradiating the resin layer with radiation to cure the resin layer, and removing the stamper 11, thereby to form the light transmitting layer 6 supported by the lining sheet 12; (B) forming the first recording layer 5 on the light transmitting layer 6; (C) forming the second recording layer 3 on the supporting substrate 2 with information pits and/or grooves for the second recording layer formed; (D) laminating the lining sheet 12 and the supporting substrate 2 via the space layer 4 so that the first recording layer 5 and the second recording layer 3 are located inside; and (E) removing the lining sheet 12.

    摘要: A method is provided for preparing an optical information medium comprising a disk-shaped supporting substrate having a center hole, an annular information recording area thereon, and an annular resin-based light-transmitting layer on the information recording area through which recording/reading laser beam is transmitted. In the formation of the light-transmitting layer, a coating fluid containing an actinic radiation-curable resin is fed onto the supporting substrate having the information-recording area formed thereon and the supporting substrate is rotated for spreading the coating fluid over the supporting substrate to thereby form a resin layer, and subsequently, the resin layer is irradiated with actinic radiation to thereby cure said resin layer while reducing the rotation speed of the supporting substrate. This method is capable of suppressing the size of the bump formed in the outer peripheral region of the light-transmitting layer.

A plurality of air inlet and outlet openings are provided through panels between the battery compartment and the air ducts. Air inlet and outlet openings are opened in a direction different from the direction of airflow in the ducts. Further, the power source apparatus has a plurality of airflow channels of differing length established inside an air duct in the direction of airflow. This divides ventilating airflow in the air duct into a plurality of airflow channels.
