摘要： A drum type washing machine includes a water tub; a cylindrical rotary drum rotatably installed in the water tub such that a central axis of rotation of the rotary drum is horizontal or slanted; a water outlet provided on a bottom portion of the water tub; a motor for rotating the rotary drum; a water supplying unit for supplying wash water into the water tub; a water draining unit for draining the wash water from the water tub; and a controller for controlling the motor, the water supplying unit and the water draining unit to thereby perform a washing, a rinsing and a water-extracting process. A guiding member with a guiding surface is installed on an inner bottom portion of the water tub to facilitate collection of the wash water and guide the collected wash water toward the water outlet during the water-extracting process.

摘要： Anhydrous magnesium chloride containing substantially no magnesium oxide is produced by a process comprising reacting magnesium chloride in the form of its hexahydrate with ammonia in the presence of ammonium chloride in an aqueous media; separating the resultant precipitated magnesium chloride hexammoniate crystals from an aqueous solution containing unreacted ammonia, magnesium chloride and ammonium chloride; washing the crystals with liquid ammonia; decomposing the washed crystals into anhydrous magnesium chloride and gaseous ammonia, and; isolating the anhydrous component from the composition mixture; which process is characterized in that a portion of the separated aqueous solution is evaporated until the concentration of ammonia in the resulting residual liquid becomes 2.5% or less; the residual liquid is mixed with fresh magnesium chloride so as to dissolve it in the liquid; the resultant solution is fed into the reacting step, and; the remaining portion of the separated aqueous solution is directly recycled into the reacting step.

摘要： Provided is a laundry dryer including: a first duct (9) having a first outlet (8) which opens at a rear side of a drum (1) for storing laundry, and a second duct (11) with a second outlet (10) which opens at a front side of the drum (1). The second outlet (10) has a narrower cross-sectional area, through which air passes, than the first outlet (8). The first or second duct (9, 10) is selectively switched during the drying process. A larger volume of dry air is blown from the first outlet (8) under selection of the first duct (9) than the second duct (11). The dry air is blown from the second outlet (10) at higher pressure and higher velocity under selection of the second duct (11) than the first duct (9).

摘要： Undesirable deposition of polyoxymethylene onto the inner wall of a polymerization reactor and onto a stirrer, which deposition is observed in the slurry polymerization of formaldehyde carried out in an inert organic liquid medium, can be minimized by carrying out the slurry polymerization in the presence of a polymerization catalyst prepared by bringing a metal chelate compound into contact with polyoxymethylene in an inert organic liquid medium in the presence of formaldehyde. Preferably, the slurry polymerization is carried out in the presence of, in addition to the above-mentioned polymerization catalyst, at least one polyvalent metal salt of an alkylsalicylic acid or of a dialkyl ester of sulfosuccinic acid. It is also preferable to use a tubular closed loop reactor equipped with an impeller wherein gaseous formaldehyde is blown into the reactor in a position located downstream from the impeller, while the catalyst-containing slurry is circulated therethrough.
