    摘要: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel using a slanted electric field to control the inclination direction of liquid crystal (LC) molecules and a method of fabricating the same are disclosed. The asymmetrical bumps made of material with high dielectric constant are formed on the lower substrate, thereby improving the displaying quality of the LCD panel. After a potential difference is applied to the substrates of the LCD, a slanted electric field is generated due to the formation of asymmetrical bumps, so as to control the inclination direction of LC molecules. Also, the electrode layer could be formed over the asymmetric bumps, or formed between the asymmetric bumps and the bottom substrate.

    摘要: A three-dimensional (3D) display system includes a liquid crystal display and a directional backlight module. The backlight module disposed behind the liquid crystal display includes a light-guide plate, a focusing layer, a left backlight source, a right backlight source, and a first V-shaped micro-grooved and a second V-shaped micro-grooved structures of the light-guide plate. The focusing layer is disposed between the light-guide plate and the liquid crystal display. The 3D display method is to instantly switch on and off the left and the right backlight sources to alternately emit the light from the left side and right side of light-guide plate. By means of the first and the second V-shaped micro-grooved structure, the light transmitted from the light-guide plate is focused by the focusing layer within a particular range of angles and passing through the liquid crystal layer for being alternately projected to form a 3D image.

    摘要: A three-dimensional (3D) display system includes a liquid crystal display and a directional backlight module. The backlight module disposed behind the liquid crystal display includes a light-guide plate, a focusing layer, a left backlight source, a right backlight source, and a first V-shaped micro-grooved and a second V-shaped micro-grooved structures of the light-guide plate. The focusing layer is disposed between the light-guide plate and the liquid crystal display.     摘要: An LCD device having adjustable viewing angles includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate has a first common electrode. The second substrate has a pixel electrode, a second common electrode, and an insulating layer formed between the pixel electrode and the second common electrode. While in a narrow viewing angle mode of the LCD device, a driving voltage is applied to the pixel electrode, the first common electrode is grounded, and the second common electrode is floating. While in a wide viewing angle mode of the LCD device, a driving voltage is applied to the pixel electrode, the second common electrode is grounded, and the first common electrode is floating.
